Our Pinoy brain will only readily work with Php and liters. If you see USD and gallons, it doesn't quite jump at you unless you exert extra effort to convert it to Php and liters to make sense.

Back in Nov., I was in SF and the gas prices in USD/gallon didn't really register with me until another person sitting nearby in the same bus, presumably also visiting SF, mentioned it to his mate... "Look at the gas here, 5 dollars!".. or something along those lines. It's California so, lol. Gas in most other states were just around 3 dollars a gallon.

Naging noticeable ngayon kasi super laki ng mga bagong markup locally compared sa mga previous weeks. Dun sa schweiz nung late march, nasa 1.50 to 2.00 chf/ltr (115-170 php) ang krudo sa kanila. Eh sa ibang probinsya rito, pumalo na up to almost 200 yun recently before nag-rollback. Kaya suwerte ang mga oto drivers na marunong mag two-wheels kasi may option sila na mag-motor lang muna madalas habang di pa tapos ang laban. Otoh, may naging good effect rin sa traffic flow although at the same time nadamay talaga ang ibang public commuters ng cost at disruption.

I think supply chains have already adjusted to get oil from suppliers other than those that need to ship through Hormuz, which is why despite two blockades going on prices are still trending down.

Only 20% of world oil was shipped through Hormuz before, so the other countries producing the 80% just needed to increase production. Easy enough because production was artificially low in the first place to keep prices high because that's the expected cartel behavior.

MANILA, Philippines — The driver of a grayish-blue Toyota Vios that allegedly sped away without paying for P1,500 worth of fuel at a gas station in Quezon City surrendered to police on Wednesday night.

This was confirmed by Quezon City Police District (QCPD) spokesperson Maj. Jennifer Gannaban to the Inquirer in a text message on Thursday morning.

The incident took place around 3:16 a.m. last Sunday at a gas station along Mindanao Avenue.

This is the third gas-and-run case in Quezon City after a transport network vehicle service driver fled with P5,000 of unpaid fuel from a gas station in Barangay Apolonio Samson last March; and a group of three individuals fled with P1,500 of unpaid fuel from another gas station in Barangay Payatas last April.

Meron din coupon discount Landers at P9.00, so good deal sa mga Landers members na magpa diesel today.

However, baka meron na namang rollback next week if tuloy2 lang downtrend.
I am still halfway from my tank so still thinking if need na magpa gas today or not.
