Might be saying too soon kung ganun. I would go for diesels pa rin. Im eyeing the CRV diesel. Balance both performance and value for money compared to mazda cx5 diesel.
Dapat lang mas mahal ang diesel coz it burns dirtier than light distillates (lpg, gasoline)
sa ibang bansa mas mataas ang tax on diesel kesa gas
I remember once in the 2000s in believe, when there was so little price difference between gasoline and diesel, I think around P2-3/L, that Honda made a newspaper ad for the CRV saying that it had much better performance and comfort as compared to diesels at the time while fuel cost difference was considered negligible.
Didn't last long though. Needless to say I saw that ad only once.

Anyway, dadating ung higher diesel price sa pinas
Pag nakipag agawan ang mga barko sa middle distillates
International maritime will stop using heavy fuels (burns very dirty)
when that happens they'll be competing with land and air transport for middle distillates
So syempre tataas ang presyo ng heating oil, diesel, aviation kerosene

If market dictates it, people should not complain if the time comes when diesel costs the same as gasoline. Owners of diesel-fed vehicles will have to deal with it.

Yes it might be because of higher price of diesel than petrol. But still they have many cars with diesel engines like BMW and MercedesSome of the country has a regulation that if the vessel enter in their water territory the vessel must comply and switch the heavy bunker fuel oil to ultra low sulfur fuel oil. Before it is only low sulfur fuel oil to comply but now more stricter regulations so they must comply to ULSFO or face a heavy fine.

Posting my thoughts before I forget in the morning....
Someone from PH energy dept said oil prices will keep going down for the rest of the year
Come on... Nobody can predict that
US midterm elections over
OPEC+Russia can now talk about cutting production
That should put a floor under oil prices
Some US refineries that were shut for maintenance are back online -- demand for crude will pick up
Venezuela oil production in freefall
Oil prices will keep going down?
I don't think so

At least he got something correct... somewhat.
Trump on falling oil prices: 'That's because of me'
Trump can claim some credit for the third factor behind the oil price pullback. Output from Saudi Arabia, Russia and other crude-exporting nations is on the rise, and analysts generally believe that's in part because the Trump administration asked the Saudis to pump more oil to offset the impact of sanctions on Iran.
In fact, oil market analysts broadly view Trump's decision to restore sanctions on Iran as a major catalyst for higher crude costs.
Oil prices ran up about $7 a barrel in the month before Trump announced he was abandoning a nuclear accord with Iran and restoring sanctions on the Islamic Republic. Last month, uncertainty around the severity of the sanctions and their impact on global oil supplies pushed U.S. crude to nearly $77 a barrel and Brent to more than $86, their highest levels since late 2014.
Another round of rollbacks... add to a lower dollar exchange rate.
