because there is no basis (past or present) that makes them want to say he should be president.
Same could be said about former President Cory Aquino. How many would actually have voted for her to be president before Ninoy's assassination?

Yet she is one of our country's presidents.

Was she a good president? She was a good person but not a good president.

What I'm afraid of a Nonoy Presidency is he has no Knight in Shining Armour against a Military Coup. Will he have the balls to stand up against a military uprising or "hide under a bed" and play PSP.

I'd dare say that there are probably a number of people out there who don't really support Noynoy but would be voting him if the only reason for it was it would be choosing the lesser evil.

Cory wasn't a great president... she wasn't terrible, either.

Our last great President may be Magsaysay...

Ramos and Gloria both have good numbers to show for their presidency, but there are a lot of unanswered questions about money movement and debt increase under their administrations... Gloria is perhaps the luckiest president, in that she was in office during a period of windfall remittances.

Gordon might be our best bet, but he's never going to win. A smart President, though, would hire him and make him part of his government.

Look at how Obama is doing it... Hillary was his biggest rival (the democratic run-offs were even closer than the election itself) and yet he made her an important part of his administration.

That's something Noynoy can learn from. If you have a capable opponent, once you win, make them part of your team.

Villar is one very scary politician. He would do anything to get what he wants. He might even sign a pact with the devil. tsk tsk tsk.

Ninoy himself sought psychiatric help for Noynoy....
