If there's anything i see, it's possible that there is a lack of a personal support system at the school and at home. Schools also have to initiate programs that address not only the academic well being of the student but also one that identifies problems and supports them emotionally/mentally through crises.

I asked someone from one of the local universities before on why they never implemented a tri-sem system as this increases revenue (faster student turn around) and they said it was because academic education was only part of the journey; Ideally a student also needs the experience of time and guidance to be developed further to toughen up and make good decisions in the real world. At times you can't blame the student for collapsing under pressure as each person is unique and have varying threshold levels as we all are raised differently. It's part of the job of an educational institution and the family to see the gaps and work to address it.

I also noticed before, students that are highly brilliant (high IQ) usually have less emotional control or have a lower EQ when it comes to dealing with problems, if they are not developed and guided accordingly to balance things out. There was even a profiling of student suicides in one school before (its not official but it was a general observation) that suicides were usually students who were highly academic and/or artistic. There were no athletes who committed suicide and I would deduce this to be due to their more interpersonal relations with others (coaches, co-athletes/team members, etc) and that it would give them an outlet to let out their frustrations maybe, as compared to someone who is holed up in the library or at home, studying.

There's no one to blame if you ask me. I don't know the real deal and it's probably all part of an intricate puzzle called life in the Philippines. We just have to learn from it at this point (yet again, hindsight is 20/20).

May pagkukulang yung nagpakamatay(rest her soul). Kaya dapat hindi masisi iba. Maliit na problema pa yan para magpakamatay. Tsaka paperwork hindi magawa? Akala ko ba magaling. Mahina EQ niya IMHO. Puwede naman siya enroll next year, trabaho muna ngayon. No reason for suicide talaga, ambabaw.
