Matagal nang maraming theft in urban France, Italy, Spain, pati sa USA tourist areas. Since the 70s I've heard of friends' cameras and bags getting ripped away by Vespa-riding-in-tandem muggers na puti in Western and Southern Europe, or mugged at gunpoint or knife point in Manhattan. For that matter, the first time I visited New York in the 1975, aviso ng mga taga embassy, wag tatanga-tanga sa daan at baka ma-holdap na ng mugger, o ng baliw.

my officemate na pinoy pinadala ng company namen sa HQ sa Paris, after work they go out to an alfresco bar, nilagay ang bag sa sahid katabi niya, ayun nakuha ng isang lalake na mukhang bouncer katawan, konting sipa sipa sa strap hanggang makalapit sa kanya then simpleng kuha lang sabay alis, my officemate walang ka alam alam nag enjoy ata masyado sa mga officemate na kakwentuhan. it was all caught in cctv how his bag was stolen.

imbes na mag enjoy nasira business trip niya because of that, buti nalang after a few days naisauli passport niya sa isang police HQ tupi tupi na.

i think mas rampant ang petty crimes dun kasi hinde agad nakukulong mga magnanakaw at pag tourist yun victim hinde naman na mag sasampa ng kaso yun.

so sino ang may sabi na sa pinas lang delikado kasi madami mag nanakaw.
