All 4 candidates are so close that a little push can change the winner.

I felt that Erap had a slight push (5% thereabout) in 2010 but it simply wasn't enough to beat Noynoy

The only solution for Mar to get that 5% push is to get out of Abnoy endorsement. Si Panot ang pabigat sa kanya since 2010, he never saw that until he now. He should tell Abnoy to endorse Negro instead to pull the nigger further down.

Sana matauhan na si Mar na konti lang ang na uuto nya o ng LP. Billion na siguro nagastos nya sa kampanya kaya ayaw mag concede. Kawawa naman.

Teritoryo na ni Mar ang ch2.

The debate last Sunday was a good thing for our democracy. We haven't had a real debate in 25 years! The first one was too "soft" and did not elicit tough questions and touch answers.

    My take on the candidates:
    1. Binay was a loser before the debate started. His insistence on bringing in his notes or documents when they had all been told at several meetings that this was not allowed showed what kind of leader he will be. He will not abide by the rules. He will do what he wants to do.
This is what he has done in Makati all these years. He and his wife and his son have run roughshod over the laws in their desire to amass untold wealth and to have ever increasing power.
He was hard put to explain the overpricing mentioned by Mar Roxas that four government agencies - the Senate, the Commission on Audit, the Ombudswoman, and the Anti-Money Laundering council - have all documented.
Mar Roxas gave specific costs and how they have balooned under the Binay dynasty. His lame excuse? Makati can buy the very best. At ten times the cost?
The AMLC report was thus validated when they showed how billions of pesos went into Binay accounts through the accounts of dummies like Limlingan and Baloloy, especially during the time that Hilmarc was constructing the infamous parking building that cost more than P2B and the science high school building as well.
He is of course fighting for his life, because the moment he loses, these cases will be filed against him. He will also no longer have the power to protect his son and his wife, both of whom have pending cases in the Sandiganbayan.
    2. Duterte was his usual macho-macho self. HIs outrageous comments seem to attract a sector of our society, much like Trump does in the US.
He again mentioned killing criminals seemingly without regard to due process. He did admit in the past that he ordered or supported the killing of at least 1,000 petty criminals in Davao and admitted that he himself has killed "at least four" people. Is this the kind of justice we want in our country? We will degenerate into a lawless nation where might is right, never mind the courts.
He even said that someone who does not know how to kill cannot be president. Can you believe that?
He brags that he can eradicate crime in six months. Anyone who believes that believes in fairy tales. Someone said he should sign a promise to resign as President if is not able to deliver on this promise.
He didnt really say much, and so there isn't much we can glean from his performance. Only he is a bully one minute (saying Mar was a "pretentious liar"?) and a pussy the next, (saying Binay is better qualified than he to be president.
    IS HE SERIOUS?
    3. Grace Poe is a good speaker. I grant her that. She seems to have been trained well by her handlers. However, she made several gaffes and errors that showed a lack of deeper knowledge about how government works.
One point was telling. She was suggesting that PNoy did not trust Mar Roxas, which is why he had to fly to Zamboanga. Hello? All Presidents around the world fly to scenes of disaster to show leadership, and to help calm down their people.
Also, it PNoy did not trust Mar, why did he choose him to continue his legacy of good governance? Clearly, he trusts Mar without any reservations, because he is sure of Mar's competence, experience, and integrity.
I am bothered most by Grace's seeming obeisance to people like Danding and Ramon Ang. She defended Danding in the face of the burning issues of the coco levy funds which were paid to the government by 3.3 million coconut farmers.
She announced that she will appoint Col Querubin as her anti-crime czar. How presumptuous! She is not even in Malacanang yet, and she is already promising positions to people? Is it because he is the Security consultant of San Miguel Corporation? Where her husband works? Whose planes she uses in the campaign? (which information she initially did not want to divulge. why?)
Her push for faster internet is a good idea. However, it can again be traced to the fact that San Miguel wanted to partner with Telstra which deal fell through.
Everything she says seems to have some connection to San Miguel. I find that very disturbing. It may signal the start of crony capitalism and transactional politics.
    4. Mar Roxas was head and shoulders above them all. He had clear answers. He articulated his plans as president. He had facts and figures. He did not lose his cool.
He countered the charges hurled against him by his opponents with statistics showing the opposite of what they were saying.
He was not afraid to charge Binay with the overpricing of hospital equiment in the Ospital ng Makati.
    He was presidential.

Banish negative thoughts about our country!
WHEN YOU THINK OF THE PHILIPPINES, IS YOUR GLASS HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY?

By: Mikaella Evaristo; Student Correspondent; Brent International School Manila 04:15 AM March 21st, 2015

CHECKED my usual social-media websites one afternoon, scrolling absentmindedly, and came across a Twitter message, “This country isn’t worth dying for.”

While the pedant in me was cringing at the use of a preposition to end a sentence, the young nationalist in me was offended, especially since the person tweeting was not a Filipino.

The comment stemmed from her limited and biased knowledge of President Aquino’s absence from the arrival honors for the 44 slain policemen in the Mamasapano incident, as he reportedly went to the opening of a car plant instead. I found her Twitter message offensive.

Such dark, indifferent words provide desolation and hopelessness to 100 million people.

Thus, 100 million people are “not worth dying for.” If the Philippines is a country not worth the pain of its inhabitants, which

Ninoy Aquino would vehemently challenge, which country is?

Is the wealth of a country the determining factor in concluding the worth of its people? The extent of corruption? It’s a very heavy statement, showing the disenchantment of our generation with our country. The sweeping, morbid declaration screams “cynical.”
People have the freedom to speak, but with the freedom comes responsibility and forethought. The words were not needed and serve as an example of how media ruin the Philippines.

    Focusing on the bad
Media have always tended to focus on the bad. Several psychological studies involving “eye tracking” have shown that many people are drawn to depressing stories. Journalists are trained to seek the stories that sell at whatever cost, making for some kind of consumer pessimism.

When it comes to social media, where users feel empowerment and personal satisfaction as they widen their network of connections, many people would rather be “liked” rather than listened to. We give ourselves an imaginary pat on the back for having solicited “x” number of “likes”; we crave popularity.

There are of course the exceptions, those who write to have their voices heard and to provoke discussion. Taking this into consideration, there are numerous posts about the Philippines, our country, on social media, usually negative and pessimistic.
For example, during the Pope’s visit, what was highlighted in many international and local reports was the cleanup of the streets filled with poor people.

With social media so accessible and almost impossible to live without (for the iGeneration, at least), we can imagine how negative thoughts of despair hinder the Philippines from reaching its full potential.

In light of the Lenten season, if we are to give up something, it should be the dark thoughts that keep this country from improving. If the Philippines were a person, how many times had we stabbed her in the back with words of disappointment, anger and profanity? We should be constructive in our criticism.

Things take time to mend—a physical illness, heartbreak or failure. Why can we not apply this view to our country? It’s much like an illness—if we were to ignore its presence, refusing to take the medication needed to make us better, the result is an accumulation of the pathogen, thereby worsening our already sick state.

For the sake of the Philippines, one cannot allow the pessimist to prevail. The Philippines is worth the hardship.

You should realy feel bad for tacloban because they have an idiot for a mayor in mayor romualdez. If there is anyone to blame it is he. Sinabi na ng pagasa na mataas ang storm surge hindi siya nagpa-evacuate. While other mayors heeded the warning, si romualdez hindi andun pa nga sa beach house nya ang ogag.

Look up what panfilo lacson said about romualdez. Lacson was giving romualdez all that he asked for but when it was delivered romualdez refused to accept the goods. It was romualdez who played politics, not the other way around. Know the facts kasi bago pumutak.

I remember in an interview, Romualdez was blaming the national government for his stupidity. Ano daw ba yung storm surge. Bakit di raw sila na inform. This coming from a guy who lives near the sea. This is like living near a fault line and not knowing what an earthquake is. Or in the mountains and not knowing what landslides are. Basic person who has moderate intelligence should know these things. What more a mayor.

I really pity MAR on what his talking and events are cashing in on his campaign. Pati si Panot sumama na sa pagbash sa mga kalaban but the daily occurrence show otherwise to the Lapiang Palpak...MRT/LRT continue to breakdown, Kidapawan farmers dispersal then NAIA 3 power failure. Are these incidence what the Lapiang Palpak are saying ituloy ang tuwid na daan?

Poor Mar and what more dumb disasters are bound to happen prior to election ???

yes, poor Mar because people like you blame him for everything.
Because his platform is to continue the Daang Matuwid motto of the current administration and he is being endorsed by the sitting President.
