    would like to correct this..

as per Tax Code of the Philippines... every resident citizen is taxed for ALL his income... whether derived from local or overseas... for non resident citizen (which OFW count as).. ganoon din... covered din.. citizen kasi..

now.. for those countries na may tax treaty ang Philippines.. then the principle of double taxation will apply.. meaning the OFW will only pay the taxes as if nasa Pilipinas sya (at least that is the ideal).. then the employer is the one to handle the in between (sa pagkaka intindi ko)...

in practice.. i don't think this is being done.. sa side ng OFW.... i don't think the employers handle tax matters... whether may tax treaty ang Philippines o wala... sa OFW mismo..

now.. will the BIR file an assessment for an OFW? I don't think so... bayani binansagan tapos hinahabol ng BIR.. and.. in this admin na masyado sensitive (at shall I say, magaling mag manipulate ng media)... the BIR running after an OFW wouldn't make good news for sure...

Siguro sa national level maganda to. :D

Bro, ofw's are tax exempt if income are derived outside the country. Meron issued regulations from BIR if I remember correctly. Panahon yata ni tabako nung inilabas ito. Was religiously filing my ITR prior to this directive.

You just have to enjoy it while it last. I'm speaking from experience used to be one as well. During my time overseas, i hated Erap being president but he gave me the highest exchanged rate for my $ at P56 to $1.

    hEhEhE...

Kaso nga lang til now hindi pa ako registered, I don't really give a F*ck about these politicians.
