    sabi sa news kanikanina lang, kaya daw hindi nila ininform kasi last time na ginawa nila yun nakatakas yun target.

    nawawala daw yun secrecy at element of surprise nun mission.

Pagkatiwalaan MILF. Nagkukupkop ba naman nang terorista. Tsaka hindi military mga yun, pulis. Kaya sa ceasefire agreement wala nilabag SAF. It was indeed a joke. Pinagtatawanan tayo ngaun nang PI na MILF na yan.

    i must admit that i learned many things about cars in this forum, but after reading the comments posted in this thread, i suggest, with all due respect, that we all do our country good, especially at this time when the peace process between the GRP and the MILF is obviously on the brink of melting down because of this very unfortunate incident, we just stick to talking about cars where most of us here are good at. my heart goes out to the families of my erstwhile comrades who shed their blood and laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

    Same here.

    Dagdag na MNLF at NPA or kung ano mang sanga ng mga yan, be it legit or breakaway.

    Point is, the muslims want a to cede. The commies wants a change in ideology.

    Walang peace dyan. Ever!

    BTT: I don't think there was anything wrong with their operations being unannounced. If the US announced or even coordinated with local Pakistani forces, do you think they'd have been able to gun down Bin Laden?

    I'm pretty sure that the SAF knew that their target will elude them if they were any less covert with their operations.

    This is a very critical event considering the peace process with the Bangsamoro. It's a tricky situation to balance if you're President. Hopefully things don't go awfully sour from here. But I also believe that the MILF should at least hold accountability for what happened. They speak as if their hands are clean. Sobrang double standard because if the tables were turned and their men were the ones killed, they'd go ballistic on the government.

    I do hope that justice finds its way in this horrible event, as well as in the long overdue Maguindanao massacre.

    It is a good thing you mentioned the US Bin Laden raid.

    The Americans knew that Bin Laden had a son and two men in the compound.

    So they sent almost 30 SEAL Team soldiers, plus 4 Helicopters to the compund. Overwhelming Force is the key to a high success rate in the military.

    The PNP people, went in the MILF "Hornet's nest" outnumbered, outgunned, and outflanked. They went in not informing the military so they would not have to share the $5M bounty.

    Stupidity = 50 Dead policemen.

    As with any thread online (FB, news sites, etc.) so many people talk SH#t and will probably be oh-so clueless if they were the ones in the frontlines and making decisions of national concern. There's always more than meets the eye and it is a difficult matter when you talk of such. I was speaking with someone connected to the government a long time ago and learned (just last year) that a peace pact with the moros was oh-so close to be signed back in the 1980s (this was post EDSA). It was washed away by some smart-ass politicians who weren't even in the forefront of the talks (meaning, their assess were not the ones hanging on the line) and how i hate knowing this just fairly recently as i voted for that person when he ran for office some years ago).

    Actually there's already a peace accord with the MNLF. Remember misuari? MILF is just a breakaway group of MNLF.

    Well, a couple of things are certain:

    i. Whether the Op was to serve a warrant or to capture/kill a known terrorist, it was poorly planned and executed...not very characteristic of what you would call a special operations force that is supposed to be used to assymetrical and tactical warfare methods;

    ii. If the MILF are dead serious about pursuing peace, it should immediately make reparations to the families and widows of the slain SAF personnel and return their personal effects and weapons;

    iii. Likewise, if the MILF higher ups profess to control their commanders on the ground, they should immediately be relieved and turned over to the authorities for harboring terrorists in their midst...otherwise, they risk being labeled as a terrorist organization;

    iv.No more pussyfooting by the GRP panel in the peace talks. It's time to take a hard line stance and pressure their counterparts to disarm their troops.

    Hindi ko sinasabing himuran ng pwet. Ang sinasabi ko, maramig poser na ang siga siga sa forum, pusta ko naman all bark and no bite lang. Kaya seryoso ako na gusto kong makita in person yung mga yan. Kahit pa sa Spiral since lagi naman nila binibida yung prosciutto.

    I've been on this forum for almost a decade and from experience, usually those who try to project that they're this and that are all fluff.

    na pati yung mga sibilyan na kamag-anak eh tumulong sa bakbakan.

    yung iba namang mga mangmang na muslim, nakapagbasa lang ng koran akala mo napakagaling na, at proud pa sa nangyari

    ^the MILF claim that the problem was that the SAF did not coordinate with THEM. The coordination problem wasn't between the SAF and the military.

    Why would you coordinate with the people harboring your fugitive?

    The PNP were pummeled for 11 hours by the MILF without anyone coming to their aid.

    Obviously, the military did not know about thir operation.
