brotherly advise; try your luck muna dyan to can find job. dito sa pinas medyo mataas ang unemployment. Unless you want to put up your own business or you are at the upper class level, it take a lot of time to find a job.

Condition here sa pinas, sobra ang politika and most of the people in the govermnent have their own vested interest.

I believe you are still young, take your fortune out there.

    peace!!!

    Don't do it pre...

It's easier to find a job sa U.S. with minimal or no experience at all. Yun nga lang your pay will depend on your experience and capability. I know a lot of companies who hires people with no experience...heck Starbucks does!

Show them what you have and what you can do and you will move on!

Im kind of a ummm... in the same situation, but Im not going back there to work though, Im going back there to finish my studies. I only need two more years to get my Bachelors Degree. I pay for everything here(car, tuition, books) and medyo mahirap working full time and going to school at the same time(I suck at time management). nagsa-suffer yung school coz palagi akong puyat . mas cheaper kasi ang school sa pinas, and my mom offered to pay for it kung dyan ako mag-aaral, and my dad will give me enough money to buy a car . How can you say NO to that?!?! FCUK YEAH uuwi ako!!!!! lol... It kinda feels weird getting something from my parents now, I have been on my own for the last 5 years, but it was them who offered, so why not accept it right?

my advice pare; stay here. start from the bottom if you have to.

2.) how do i bring my car there and have it legal to be registered and all that?

    IMHO

    1. Mahirap makipagsapalaran sa Pinas or even makipag compete dahil karamihang graduate sa Pinas na may trabaho eh yung mga nasa top 5 ng class.

    2. If you think you are darn good at what you do, better than Pinas Univ graduate, then move to Pinas. If not, mahihirapan ka lang dahil mas mabagsik ang mga students sa Pinas compared dito.

    3. You are competing with candidates who may already have a 10 years experience in your field.

    4. US job experience is definitely better unless you're a SAP consultant like MazdaMazda. Then geographical experience wouldnt matter.

    5. Still having a tough time finding a job? Go to an employment agency, a good way to start. The last time we hired a direct company employee was back in 2001.

    RE: McDonalds workers' car

Only if you live with your parents or you work on 2 McDonalds store = 16hours of work.

kumuha ng experience, work as an apprentice. also, try ka rin sa
    mga employment agencies. daming paraan.

    Limgo,

You should try other states before thinking of going back. Las Vegas is still booming, Phoenix as well. You can go here in California too.

the reason i want to bring my car there is because it's a dodge srt4....wala atang srt4 diyan sa pilipinas, so baka mas may value ito diyan once i'm ready to sell it. plus, turbo 2.4L siya eh so it's fun... i plan to get a car there din naman, something cheaper para hindi ako magagalit kung mabangga o kung tumirik sa baha

i was there for vacation a couple months ago and i really appreciate how the things are na compared to 10 years ago (before the skyway, all the other overpasses that ease traffic, MRT, market market - especially yung bbq doon) and i decided that i want to retire there when the time comes.

if i get a job there, ang plano ko ay magtrabaho sa companya ng tito ko na may position that pertains to my degree (management and marketing - b.s. in business admin) para pagkabalik ko sa US ay mas willing ang mga companya dito mag-hire saakin. then pagka makaipon ako ng kaunti, siguro mag-invest ako ng lupa sa tagaytay area siguro para preparation for when i retire. when i'm ready to leave the philippines, ibebenta ko diyan yung srt4 ko since it's probably gonna be the only srt4 there (supply and demand...baka mas may value ito diyan). in the process of working there, i'm sure my uncle is gonna make sure na hindi naman ako mahihirapan sa buhay (financially), so that's ok. tapos since may mga contact ako dito sa US na mahihilig sa mga car parts, pupunta ako sa banawe para bumili ng mga piesa para bilihin (o baka ibenta rin) ng mga kaibigan ko dito. kung anumang maipon ko from that will stay sa banks dito sa US para i won't blow the money senselessly. oh, and i plan to eat a lot of lechon, bbq, crispy pata, balut, chicharon bulaklak, chicharon bituka, sinigang, tapa, taho, pancit, halo-halo....you get the point

hindi lang sa arkansas mahirap makahanap ng trabaho. mahihirapan talaga kung walang experience. in my case, kailangan ng experience in management or somethign of the like, eh wala ako nun. eh since my uncle owns a company there, puede siyang makahanap (o gumawa ng bagong) position for me :D spoiled ako, i know, pero might as well make use of my resources, diba? hahaha

siguradong mas magulo ang buhay diyan kaysa sa arkansas, pero totoo lang i miss the f* out of living there sa manila. at tutal american citizen ako, pera lang ang issue sa pagbalik dito sa US which if i use my resources properly, yung maipon ko from selling car parts alone will take care of most of that.

nga pala, while i was there a couple months ago, pinakilala saakin ng pinsan ko si John Tiong, president of AutoFrance, Phils. sabi niya kung gusto ko daw ay makakaorder siya saakin ng Peugot 206RC...tempted ako pero ayaw ko magtanong ng presyo kasi siguradong mas mura ang singkit na lancer :D hahaha

thanks for all the replies! nakakatulong kayo sa aking mga decisions

    Kris

    Kris

Sa buhay dito sa pinas talagang walang tatalo, masarap mabuhay dito, in spite of the government situation, pollution and traffic.

I was an immigrant in Canada and I used to work there but I decided to come back here for the same reason already stated. I experienced the good life here, malaki sweldo, ganda benefits, nice car, eat at the finest restaurants. Now, wala na naman ako work and I decided na bumalik na lang ako sa Canada para makipagsapalaran.

tsk, tsk, tsk buhay nga naman, parang life...

Naknang teteng..... san ka sa Arkansas?

Been there sa US for 7 years (3 years sa Rogers, AR) bago kami bumalik dito sa Pinas.....

Anong number mo dyan nang matawagan kita..... I currently have VoIP sa office and my local number is 650-292-2416 X824. 9AM to 5PM CST ako nandito M to F.

Medyo mahirap maniwalang walang opportunity sa US.

Believe it or not, mas malaki ang naiipon namin dito kesa nung nandyan ako. Pero case to case basis pa den kasi.

    O tawag na...........
