I'm sure the Binays will not agree with this. They tried to claim the rise of Makati Business District as the fruit of their good governance even if MBD's development has nothing to do with local government and MBD's was already there 2 decades before the Binays rose to power in 1986. Bravo to Mayor Lim for cleaning Manila and changing the image of Ermita which used to be a popular red light district to foreign *** tourists in the 80s.

Makati ranks 3rd in Asia’s top 10 most promiscuous cities

MANILA, Philippines – Makati City ranks third in the top 10 most promiscuous cities in Asia with 77 percent of men saying they have had five or more ***ual partners in a year, according to an online study conducted by a worldwide dating website.

SeekingArrangement.com, a dating website that aims to establish “Mutually Beneficial Relationships” between men “Sugar Daddies” and women “Sugar Babies,” has revealed the results of their recent study that an average of 76 percent of men throughout Asia have four or more ***ual partners a year.

The study, which surveyed 10,000 male members of the dating website, found that Bangkok, Thailand ranked first with 83 percent of men saying they had more than five ***ual partners per year.

Osaka, Japan was second with 80 percent while Makati, Philippines ranked third with 77 percent, the study said.

The Asian average was found to be lower when compared to Europe and the United States, where men averaged at seven or more partners per year, it added.

“Asia is known for efficiency and discipline. There is a common misconception in the West that Asian men are not as promiscuous as Americans,” Brandon Wade, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of SeekingArrangement.com, said in the statement.

“It is simply not true. Because of the fast-paced lifestyle in these cities, men are always looking to relieve stress. In a city where the market is constantly changing, so goes the dating pool,” Wade said.

Trailing Philippines in third place are Hyderabad, India (76 percent), Saigon, Vietnam (72 percent), Seoul, South Korea (65 percent), Shanghai, China (58 percent), Saint Petersburg, Russia (57 percent), Singapore, Singapore (53 percent), and Beijing, China (49 percent).

The study also found three cities with the least amount of promiscuity. Sixty-six percent of men in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia reported having two or more ***ual partners per year.

Hong Kong, China ranked second with 61 percent and Kyoto, Japan ranked third with 53 percent, the study said.

SeekingArrangement.com was launched in 2006 and has over 1.7 million members globally. It claims to be the world’s largest sugar daddy dating network, that pairs “wealthy men with beautiful women seeking mutually beneficial relationships.”

Makati not promiscuous, says spokesman

MANILA, Philippines - The spokesman of the country's premier commercial and financial district dismissed the findings of an online survey which ranked Makati City as the 3rd most promiscuous in Asia.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Makati City spokesman Joey Salgado said the survey by SeekingArrangement.com should not be taken seriously since it's a network that promotes dating between "sugar daddies" and women.

“It’s difficult to treat seriously the results of a survey conducted online by a service which admits to being a sugar-daddy dating network, allegedly linking wealthy men with women," Salgado said.

“There is no way to verify if the answers given by the respondents are true, considering that the agenda of those who use this online dating service is to attract partners. There is an incentive to exaggerate or even give false answers,” he added.

Salgado said that the respondents of the survey, " in all likelihood...would claim to live in Makati since it is the country’s financial center and premiere city."

“Definitely, a Makati address would bolster the attractiveness factor, since the city is known for upscale living,” he said.

Salgado said the survey results are put in "serious doubt" by the findings of a study by the Department of Health which excludes Makati as among the 6 Philippine cities "most at risk for human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS)."

Kinda doubtful... for one... many members will be more-or-less, registered anonymously or under pseudonyms... for another... the survey would only cover men who use the website or browse it.

Just drumming up business. Nothing to see. I highly doubt we are at that 77% percent figure of all men in Makati... considering most office workers there don't have the moolah to support more than two.

ogags naman yan survey na yan e. puro manyak ang responders e di syempre ipagbibida nila na nakaka-lima sila sa isang taon. isa-isahin lang nila ang numbers sa massage parlor once every 2 months e di 6 na yun. buti sana kung ang survey e random na tao sa daan maniwala pa ako, pero survey sa mga members ng manyak club, what do you expect the answers will be. may kasama pang bida yan syempre, kahit pinagjakolan lang nila score na sa kanila yun.
