Never really liked the guy one bit. He was the guy who told the pro-erap supporters to go to Ayala para pitikin ang mga ilong ng mestizos during EDSA Tres. What's up with that?

    opportunist!

Magpapakasal sa Tanay pa. Para ano? Para ma publicize? Ano kaya sasabihin ng bride-to-be niya? Puwede naman sila magpakasal na malayo sa mata ng politica. Solemn at tahimik pa at mararamdaman ng mapapangasawa niya na MAS importante siya kesa sa kanyang ama.

Is this the kind of guy we want in the senate floor (sabagay, sino ba nagsabi na sagrado na ang senado?) Sino kaya uunahin nya pag andun na siya?

Just observe his conduct during interviews. Wala kang makikitang bakas ng humility. Ngiti pa lang niya alam ko na maangas siya.. Paano pag naging senador pa ito...Just my honest opinion po. Peace!

Estrada son withdraws from Senate race

SAN JUAN Mayor Jose Victor “JV” Ejercito, son of deposed president Joseph Estrada, has withdrawn his senatorial bid on the request of the former leader, a spokesman for Estrada said.

“JV has willingly consented to sacrifice his senatorial aspirations,” said lawyer Rufus Rodriguez on local television Thursday.

Rodriguez said Estrada had asked his son to withdraw from the senatorial race to “make room” for a broader representation of opposition candidates.

Ejercito was included in the senatorial lineup of the United Opposition (UNO).

“It was very difficult and agonizing decision as a proud father to ask JV to withdraw from the opposition senatorial ticket considering JV’s sterling qualifications for the Senate and his no. 9 ranking in the latest Pulse Asia survey,” Estrada said in a statement released to media Thursday.

“After many sleepless nights, my desire to ensure the formation of a broad, strong, and united coalition of anti-GMA [Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo] forces prevailed over my paternal feelings to see my son become a senator,” he said.

Estrada said that he was also very proud that his son had expressed willingness to give up his slot.

Estrada also clarified that his decision to ask his son to withdraw from the race had nothing to do with the issue on political dynasties.

“This dynasty issue is being played up by Malacańang and its lackeys as part of its squid tactics to deflect attention from the growing Macapagal-Arroyo conjugal dynasty,” he said.

Estrada said that the upcoming elections in May should not be seen as a “GMA-Erap [Estrada’s nickname] proxy electoral fight.”

“This election is going to be a fight of the vast majority of the Filipino people against the cheating, lying, stealing, and oppressive GMA administration and as a historical opportunity for the people to express through their votes the strong disapproval of the GMA administration that they had been repeatedly manifesting in various opinion surveys over the past three years,” he said.

Estrada called on the people to “vote for candidates who will oppose the GMA administration’s policies, question her legitimacy and hold her accountable for all the wrongs she had inflicted on the people".
