What does the holy Scripture say about the dead? What happens to the soul when a man dies? Can the dead profit from anything that the living do for them(prayers, offer foods and so on)?

“The living know they will die, but the dead know nothing. Dead people have no more reward, and people forget them. After people are dead, they can no longer love or hate or envy. They will never again share in what happens here on earth.” Eccl. 9:5-6

The dead knows NOTHING. Meaning, even if you offer a millions of prayers, candles, flowers, and so on, it will never profit or share whatever happens here on earth.

What really happens when a man dies?

“His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.” Psalms 146:6

    Upon cessation of breath, the thoughts of a dying man perish; he returns to his earth, a fulfillment of what God had decreed;

“…Later you will return to the ground, because you were taken from it.
You are dust, and when you die, you will return to the dust." Gen. 3:19

What happens to the spirit of a man upon cessation of breath?

“You will turn back into the dust of the earth again, but your spirit will return to God who gave it.” Eccl. 12:7

What is the proof of the scripture that does not teach the immortality of the soul?

“For our soul is bowed down to the dust; Our body clings to the ground.”
    Psalms 44:25

We can see that when a person died, he then knows nothing and cant do anything because he is already dead. His body is already in the grave, so his thoughts also perish as what happened to him. We should remember that a person is consist of: body, soul and spirit. Both soul and body cleave to the ground while the spirit returns to God.

Meaning to say, the belief that after a person died, he will immediately be in heaven, hell or purgatory is WRONG. It is indeed unbiblical!

Lolz

Although i have my own qualms about it, let's not question the beliefs of the INC with regard to their indoctrination. That is for us to respect just as we also ask that people respect our own beliefs. Who are we to judge right? Besides, comparing religious quotes and practices is just like some car guys who argue using nothing but spec sheets without even experiencing in-depth the cars they argue about.

The matter at hand which gets most people irritated are not with regard to their (the INC's) beliefs but rather their actions which disrupt the good of the general public such as indiscriminate holding of public assemblies on EDSA, and congesting/parking on the NLEX as if they own the highway, among others. Likewise, the supposed lobbying for certain government positions and their supposed peddling of influence using the block voting card as a carrot also leaves a bad taste.

    My two cents.

With 101 years of existence and a belief that only their faithfuls will reap the eternal grace of heaven then all those who perished before the existence of INC were deprived the opportunity to be in paradise

Poor lot they werent given the chance to enjoy the grace of God in the after life

Sadly many are misled but not all will suffer. Remember that the one's who intentionally misled others will perish.not the followers but even the followers are given the chance to convert their ways but if still they chose not to till our death in this world then only GOD knows.[emoji20] that's why we have to pray for conversions. To help others realize our situation without GOD. I'm not judging anyone. I'm just sharing my faith and beliefs.

Of all the religions the Catholic faith is the only religion which by history the roots of can be traced back to St.Peter the First Pope When Our Lord Jesus Christ started His Church.

    Religion is like a dick
You know it's there, you are proud of it no matter what, but you dont go around whipping it out in public and shoving it down people's throats.

^ there are big and small religions and there are also short and long religions, but if yours is big and long, lo and behold, you're proud to shove it deep any holes and ram it against any walls. and that's religion-- you go to the world and multiply.

The INC is good at quoting the bible. I admit I don't read it if I don't have to. But I don't think that INC has been mentioned to be the only religion that can attain salvation of all its membership
