Joker, for certain. Perhaps Bongbong. Miriam. Sus... obvious from the beginning... she still has some political allegiance to PGMA.

As I said before, Corona doesn't need to fake it, anymore. It's a sure thing he stressed himself out with that performance at the Senatem bringing on hypoglycemia... very easy for a diabetic to do... take your insulin and don't eat... you'll get hypoglycemic real quick.

Hunger strike lang siya before the hearing, and he'll faint before it's over.

    CJ defense team 'disintegrating'?

MANILA, Philippines - Chief Justice Renato Corona's supposed walkout after testifying in his impeachment trial last Tuesday not only weakened his case but also showed signs of his "disintegrating" defense team, a senator-judge said.

Shortly after Corona left the witness stand and the session went on break, chief defense lawyer Serafin Cuevas reportedly went to the executive lounge to explain to senators.

"Justice Cuevas came in to explain that he had no hand in this, that he did not know this was going to happen," Sen. Franklin Drilon told reporters in a briefing on Thursday. "From that statement, you could imply that somebody else was directing the show."

At that time, defense lawyer Jose Roy III was giving a live interview on television.

"Ayan, daldal nang daldal. I-contempt n'yo at ikulong n'yo nang 10 araw. Hindi ako mag-o-object," Drilon quoted Cuevas as telling senators when he saw Roy on TV.

Drilon confirmed reports that Cuevas got a dressing-down from Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile inside the lounge.

After this, Drilon said Roy attempted to go to the senators' lounge, but Cuevas reportedly told him, "Papasok ka diyan? Mumurahin ka."

In an earlier interview, Roy had denied that Cuevas reprimanded him.

    'Premeditated and planned walkout'

For Drilon, it was clear that Cuevas did not have a hand in what he believes was Corona's "premeditated and planned" walkout. He believes Cuevas would have stopped the plan if he knew it.

He is convinced, however, that other defense lawyers knew about it. He said he has information that a member of the defense team was already at the basement parking waiting for Corona to go down after he left the witness stand.

Drilon did not name any lawyer who may have had a hand in Corona's "walkout."

"Indeed, the defense team was disintegrating. This added to the difficulties of Chief Justice Corona in presenting his defense when his legal team is imploding," Drilon said.

Drilon said Corona lost the public's sympathy after testifying and leaving the witness stand.

"Certainly, he lost the public support which he could have gained given the emotional appeal he made," he said. "He lost it all when he walked out."

    Salvador belies they're disintegrating

For his part, defense lawyer Tranquil Salvador III denied that the Corona team is disintegrating.

He said the defense lawyers are in constant contact with Corona and will be backing him up once he returns to the witness stand tomorrow.

Salvador said Corona was unable to finish his testimony last Tuesday after he allegedly suffered hypoglycemia after finishing his opening statement.

tatlo daw katulong dati ni theif justice eh

Romeo Solina wrote me to dispute Corona’s statement that they do not employ a house help.

I’m publishing this so that the Coronas can reply, if they want to.

Here what Corona said: “Simpleng buhay at tahanan lamang—hindi man kami gumagamit ng aircon sapagka’t napakadali po naming magkasakit sa lamig. Simpleng pagkain lamang ang kinakain namin sa bahay, at sa maniwala “po kayo at sa hindi, kami po ay walang katulong sa bahay.

At, iyan ang sinasabi kong katotohan sa inyo. Ganoon kasimple po ang aming pamumuhay na paminsan-minsan lamang na may dumadating na naglilinis ng aming bahay o nagplaplantsa ng aming damit. “

Here’s a portion of Solina’s letter: “We have a ‘katulong’ with us for several years now. We took her after she worked with the Coronas. That was when Corona was still working with then President Arroyo. She said she was supposed to work in the canteen being run by Mrs. Corona near a school in Vito Cruz, but had to stay in the residence of the Coronas. She committed a blunder – by spilling something on a guest and was berated by Corona himself – and she had to resign.

“When I heard Corona’s statement “wala kaming katulong” (to impress the public that he lives simply) I asked Tess, our own katulong what the situation was several years ago. She said that while she was assigned to serve at the canteen, there were three maids for the household – a cook, a laundress, and a cleaner. All of them slept in the house, but were not allowed much free time.”

It's too late for Corona to do that. Besides, all that "brilliant lawyering" by his Dream Team of legal experts would be just for him to retire at this stage?

I'd still eagerly await judgment by the Impeachment Court.

Impeachment court should render judgement. Gusto din ni JPE na tuldukan ito unlike what happen in the impeachment trial years ago.

And the Corona rabid support base is still intact.

Either mga bayarin nalang mga yan, or the frat/gang/mob/cult style protectionism of Pinoys is in effect still.
