I had the pleasure of sitting beside this gentlemen inside a plane on several occasions and had a pleasurable time talking with him. IMPO, he's down-to-earth, easy to speak with, speaks softly but with content and affirmation, easily approachable, has an open mind (note: non-politics related discussion that we had) and has one heckuva cool fashion sense!

I'm purely an a-political person but if there is a politician that I would vote for in this coming May elections, it would be Chiz.

I like him. I think he's one of the best politician and still very young. He'll get my vote too.

i believe he is brilliant. he is articulate in both English and Pilipino. ang talas ng utak.

i believe that deep inside he is really a good person and very passionate about his causes.

am still deciding though if i will go for him.

he has a lot of causes that i don't agree with. anyway, there's enough time to decide. May is still a long way off.

saw him twice before at pb dionisio firing range, down to earth talaga. very polite to all. even just asking the firing range personnel (who were much younger than him) for more target paper there was no air of arrogance whatsoever. he talked to them like he was talking to someone older. we greeted him and told him that even though i was not for the opposition (at that time Garci had not come out yet, political killings were not yet in the limelight) i believed in what he was doing, which was fiscalizing the administration. told him that if i were a resident of his district i would not hesitate to vote for him even if he was an oppositionist. his reply was a very polite "salamat po sa tiwala nyo. alam po ninyo siguro na hindi ko ginagawa ang mga nakikita nyo dahil lang sa politics, tunkulin ko po iyon." we were waiting for his group to finish and he even asked us if we wanted to go to the range while they reloaded, salitan kum baga. we declined his offer of course, we came late and they were there first. now tell me some other congressman who will do that!?

he gets my vote! unfortunately i am not a registered voter.

Oh man! I can't believe this.

As I said earlier, Both he and Cayetano are the new breed of stupid politicians who do nothing but instill fear and doubt to the masses without offering any solution or proof.

In spite of him being eloquent and all, he still does not convince me that he is a person to be trusted nor a leader with concrete plans or solutions to the problems at hand.

Whenever he speaks, it makes me cringe inside and make me think what gall this person has to make the people fear about his predictions of worst things to come.

for me i would rather choose a bill that has substance than a bill na feasible lang in the eyes of the administration.

the list and the subject of the bills authored by escudero would tell me that he was doing his job as a legislator well. the subject of the bills are varied and wide ranging. it includes education, retirement, mass media, environmental law, graft and corruption, etc. bills on these matters are not simple and they are designed to improve existing measures. more than anything, the proposal and passing of bills should be the lawmaker's job.

Tama ka bossing! Anyway, for his own good, he should side on issues, not with political parties. He's too articulate for his own good. I remember him one time on TV lambasting GMA admin when his folks in Sorsogon are reeling from a series of calamities (i.e Mt Bulusan eruption, Typhoon).

For me, it didn't speak well of his good timing and nature. But things can still change..

Matalino at magalin magsalita, but his continued support for Erap speaks volume for his values. Sayang.
