For him to say “Our people are better prepared, and all it took was to replace one individual who believes he is God’s gift to Filipinos”, I would think that there is bad history between them. I would think the Pnoy is sincere enough to say this word for word when he really meant it. Baka nga sobrang laki na ng ulo ni Prisco Nilo.

prisco got what's coming. simple. you cannot ignore the president when he demands an explanation. you cannot blame others, as well. medyo masyado pagka-self confident ni prisco dati nung napanood ko sya sa ANC yata nun. he does act as if he's the smartest of them all.
kupal naman talaga kasi ni Prisco, eh nagiba na ang track ng bagyo direct hit na ang Manila and yet hinde nagbigay ng update kasi every 6 hrs or 12 hrs sila nag update dati,.

Talk about beating a dead horse...

Besides... I don't think the blame fell completely on the guy... PAGASA really didn't have the people abnd equipment to deal with Ondoy... he was simply made a scapegoat for the poor state the agency found itself in after years of neglect.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

But how about extending beyond one's own equipment via the internet?

There are sites like http://typhoon2000.ph which offer very detailed information (sourced from other international agencies) on storms in the region.

That last storm that hit Metro Manila was predicted accurately via the storm tracks in that site.

Mukhang may positive effect naman in the way PAGASA is handling the current typhoon... More proactive sila in communicating updates to concerned parties.... We were watching their update via DZRH (on TV) last night past 11PM, and they're promising hourly updates with the various disaster coordinating councils....

and these Nilo even has a very good propaganda team defending him.

imagine him heading our weather forecasting during wartime,
one mistake and i will send him to the frontlines to make his forecasting on site.

Nagluluto sya ng bagong equipments to be purchased in the billions of pesos
which the DOST Head is against.
