his businesses don't make any money

parang mga startup that rely on investor money but never turn a profit

when fresh funds stopped coming in the businesses couldn't be sustained

Mga Sy controlled banks atat na atat na foreclose yung mga properties used as collateral. Kahit di pa nag officially defaulted sa loans.

Next to suffer will be Duterte's alalay and goon in the senate... no one will bankroll them for another term.

Generally, none, except the corporation. The corporation has a separate legal personality from the stockholder. The assets of the company is separate and distinct from that of the corporation. Creditors can only hope for a rehabilitation or liquidation of the company's assets to get something, just something.
