dati na point out ko sa isang PE nung kasulukuyan silang nag prep bago sila magsemento sa harap namin. tanong ko sa kanya "di ba dapat graded sand ang gamit ninyo" kasi mas mataas ang FDT result nito kesa lupa lang ang panambak at meron dapat measured LIFT base from the project specs (nat'l hiway proj ito). natulala sya bago nakasagot, yon daw ang backfill material na bigay ni contractor!
kaya agawan ang mga pulitiko pag horizontal projects dahil ang laki ng kita nila dyan. under specs lagi... kulang sa timpla, thickness, width, etc. pag nag coring na sila, dito na papasok yung mga inspector ng dpwh

unless the concrete road was built as a bridge, complete with appropriate support,
no amount of steel re-inforcement will prevent that road from collapsing, if the ground under it collapses, as in this picture.
the question is,
