And D.A.C.O. it is pala. Honestly, Baste should be cuffed and jailed for even doing such a thing against a police officer, and the PNP chief at that. But then again in this country.........

Bagong spelling ng "duwag": B-A-S-T-E space D-U-T-E-R-T-E, duwag!

Seriously, why take giving to charity negatively? It wasn't a condition on Torre's part, it was a suggestion para may kabuluhan naman daw.

Si Baste yung naghamon, tapos siya pa ang may condition? To quote a line from Alanis' "Hand in my Pocket, "I'm brave but I'm chickens*$!"

All bark & no bite. Dapat sabihin ni Torre, sige hindi na fund raising to. Suntukan na lang talaga. Tignan natin kung anong bagong excuse pa si Baste.

The Fistfight That Backfired: How Baste Duterte Lost Before He Even Threw a Punch | Morning Coffee Thoughts

The Complete No-Win Scenario: Baste Trapped Himself
At this point, it doesn’t matter how this ends—Baste already lost.

He boxed himself into a corner where every possible outcome makes him look worse. Let's run through the options:

If he shows up and wins, he just beat up a 55-year-old public official. He looks like a bully, not a leader.

If he shows up and loses, he gets humiliated by someone nearly two decades older. There goes the tough guy image.

If he pulls out, he gets branded a coward. Torre already said yes—backing down now looks like fear, not strategy.

Even trying to reframe the rules or set new conditions just makes him look desperate. The charity angle makes it even worse. Torre doesn’t need Baste to raise funds—sponsors are already donating whether Baste shows up or not. So if he fights, it’s selfish. If he backs out, the fundraiser continues without him.

He handed Torre every advantage, then trapped himself in a scenario where the only consistent storyline is: “Mayor, sablay ka dito.”

This isn’t just a PR fail. It’s a self-inflicted political implosion dressed as machismo.

^ Torre, on the other hand, just raised and solidified his stock at the expense of baste - who has been reported to have flown the coop yesterday. The vice mayor of Davao city has allegedly flown to Singapore along w/ his family and staff.

The pnp general's no nonsense approach to serving out what's ordered of him has just been reinforced with his cool handling of what could have been an embarrassing scenario, had he swallowed the bait of the Dutertes to engage in what could have been a hyped -up ugly multi -level media war.

He could have just left it with his opponent leaving on a jet plane. Him showing up at the stadium took away from his win.

Baste wasted everybody's time. Then again, he is his old man's son.

People keep saying "Torre should have taken the high road", "wag patulan", "hayaan na lang" and now "hindi na dapat tinuloy". Thing is its high time the Dutertes be exposed for what they are, and the exposure and humiliation should be total! BBM is being an idiot for taking half-measures. Inday will be back and the Marcoses will suffer for his laxity.

At the very least, the Torre vs baste supposed showdown reportedly received donations worth php 20m and raked in an additional php 300k in gate receipts. All proceeds are said to be going to the flood and storm victims.

Not bad for a hastily organized entertainment gig on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
