pag regular holiday lang 200%.. pag non working days.. + 30% lang..

kaya ang nagiging problema naman pag special non working lang.. wala namang gustong pumasok... kasi additional 30% lang makukuha nila.. tsk tsk tsk

Excuses! Other countries have more holidays than us (China 29!!) and yet they are more productive than we are. I see the problem to be the following:

    1. Corruption
    2. Red tape
    3. Infrastructure
    4. Filipino culture of wanting more (Western mentality)
    5. A lot more obvious reasons that not a lot of people likes to talk about.

China might have more days BUT it's ONE LONG HOLIDAY which is the chinese new year celebration. For the rest of the year, they work 7 days a week. Yes, you read that right, seven days a week. Compared to our five to six days a week.

China actually have 2 long holidays, the chinese new year and the national day celebrations around October. A lot of jobs here in the Philippines, specially blue collar jobs, are from Monday to Saturday already.

I doubt if you could impose white collar workers to work 7 days a week.

Bottom line, holidays are the least of our problems. Better to concentrate efforts in fixing the obvious ones.
