Based on news reports, binalewala ng mga tauhan niya ang hulog niya sa motor. He's in his 70s and marupok na ang buto. Whose bright idea was it to skip a full medical checkup?
Baka may kasamang kwak doctor.[emoji6]

"Panelo said that there was no need for the President to see a doctor because he only suffered minor injuries."
Duterte figures in minor motorcycle accident >> Manila Bulletin News
Digong was said to have gone straight to the wake of former Sen. Nene Pimentel after landing in Manila. Now shouldn't he have gone back to the Palace and rested if he was in "unbearable pain"?
From Ding Velasco
NO UNBEARABLE PAIN.
If Boy Finger had an "unbearable pelvic pain", why would he go direct from Tokyo to Taguig and bypass Malacanang to rest and attend the wake of ex Sen Nene Pimentel at Heritage Park?
Conclusion: There was no "unbearable pelvic pain".
It was just a ruse they concocted "to gain sympathy for an ailing President doing his duty even in grave physical pain" in order not to be publicly assailed for having been unceremoniously ignored in Japan (though not a fault of Japan). In several videos taken at Heritage Park, Boy Finger had no "walking cane", and he mingled unassisted. He functioned on his own, there wasn't "visible wincing or difficulty".
I can only speculate; but in late August when the formal invitations to all Heads of State were sent by the Japanese Enthronement Committee; Duterte sent word that he cannot attend. We were not privy to the reason why, but such an official reply from Manila meant that the Philippine Delegation to the Enthronement Rites would be led by our Philippine Ambassador and was therefore relegated down the line. The seating protocol alloted to the Philippines previously for a Head of State was downgraded to that of an Ambassador and when upon arriving in Japan - Duterte was notified of this (to seat at the back with Ambassadors) - they tried to ask the Enthronement Committee to re-arrange the seating protocol - and their request was denied ... because it would create a "domino effect" in the seating protocol of hundreds of Heads of State who already had their seating numbers based on established diplomatic protocol.
Upon their arrival in Tokyo, when nobody of high rank from the Japanese Foreign Ministry came to meet them - could have been enough notice for Duterte and his entourage to realize that Duterte's last minute decision to attend had dire consequences: nobody crashes the ceremony of a Japanese Emperor being enthroned to change seating protocol because such rituals and arrangements are planned much in advance by the meticulous Japanese.
And when Duterte found out that he would not only seat in the back but would not be announced among the protocol line of Heads of State; they decided he would be humiliated - thus the invention of "unbearable pain" as the reason for leaving Tokyo at the exact moment the new Japanese Emperor was being crowned.
His impetuous decision to attend with barely a week's notice has necessitated the national expense of more than P35 Million (we will never know the exact amount wasted) - only to be chastised and "concluded again" by the respectful and courteous Japanese who cannot and won't bend their national rituals to appease Duterte. As they say in Tokyo:
"When in Japan; do as the Japanese do".
