Aside from dictatorship, what is the appropriate description that can be conferred to duterte's administration? The way it controls both houses with senators and congressmen kowtowing to his wishes, policemen doing the execution and the military's apparent indifference? Then we have the unqualified supporters holding public office displaying gross incompetence and ineptitude. If this is duterte's way of screwing the elites as uls put it, then how could it benefit the 16M in terms of financial and economic perspectives? Is reducing the number of addicts in the street enough benchmark of a good presidency?
