^^^ Bro,- Okay naman yata ang tithing sa kanya e....

I have been fighting for ROHQ status for many years, but then again the tax (payment) incentives that were accorded by the government for many years to us, exporting companies are now a collective "burden", especially with the changing business and financial landscape at corporate.... Double whammy,- settling the local taxes and then tax [again] on returning the moolah somewhere else...

I hope that tax holidays or incentives to settle these, be given to [exporting] companies, as they are unquestionably HUGE revenues for the government!!!

Hidden wealth kung baga,- they just have to open a window for the settlement of these outstanding taxes for a win-win situation....

if the guy can come thru with just a fraction of what he has been promising, mas marami na sya nagawa than the previous admins.. practical kasi ung mga implementation nya so far.

    1. reduce red-tape sa gov't offices/permits/licenses/License Plates - SANA TALAGA JUSKO LORD. nag switch ako job nung march ni require saken Police, Bgy, NBI clearance. magastos sa pera at oras ano ba yan.
    2. Reduce/Improve Traffic situation/infra - MRT beep/cards sana available online reloading and sa malls
    3. Improve NAIA situation - THIS. economy, tourism, transpo, foreign perception. pwedeng maging domino effect ung improvement.
    4. getting rid of drug pushers - in-progress
    5. RH bill - SANA SOON
    6. Tax improvements - Long shot to. ang impact neto e generations ahead, sana wag mag madali for short term benefits.

galing din nung strategy ng team nya dun sa traffic situation. Nilaglag ng onti ung congress. "kung ayaw nyo.." this puts congress in a situation where pag hindi sila pumayag sa emergency powers, they can be blamed LOL, and if they give in, Du30 team gets the credit. Rough around the edges si du30 pero ma diskarte so far. Remains to be seen, masyado pang maaga, and ganito naman lagi sa umpisa, positive ratings normal lang un e landslide victory, of course majority natutuwa.

His speech is full of contradiction.

    1. Mag-iimprove naman pala AFP, akala ko ba waste of money?
    2. Respect daw pala human rights, "daw".
    3. Sustainable dev't din pala gusto pero nung una ayaw i-honor paris accord, eh basically ganun din yun for us 3rd world countries, hindi naman talag tayo magiging noncompetitive.
    4. Susugpuin naman pala ASG, ano ba yan?
    5. No concre plan on WPSea?
    6. Peace process, pero divisive naman magsalita at dumiskarte.
    7. Bank secrecy law my ass.
    8. Women's right - sabi nga nila hindi na kelangan masyado batas dyan, itigil lang sipol at titig manyak puwede na.

    What I liked;

    1. DL
    2. Car Plates
    3. Erring officials
    4. Lumads
    5. Phil passports and his plan to help OFW's
    6. Sana nga yung red tape mabawasan pa
    7. ROTC - ibalik na nga yan
    8. Taxation - sana nga simpler and more
    9. Transportation - he should really focus on this
    10. Fast internet
    11. War on corruption, sana mas concrete plan nga lang hindi lang hotline na laging busy.

Disclaimer: I did not for PGong.

This is not a jab at Duterte per se, but he did mention something about forgetting the past so we can move forward.

Yes, i get it, end political bickering, work for the Filipino people. But you're assuming that infighting is the only problem with our politicians. A lot of them, from the national down to the local level, are working for their own self interest; not all of them are competent, and even worse, not all of them even bother to show up for sessions.

Forget political bickering, yes; forgot corruption done in the past and present? Huwag naman. If anything, it's the root of all our problems right now.

Switching to ROHQ is one effective retention policy, bro....

The tax relief that is being proposed is going to be a 7% reduction from the maximum taxable income bracket from what I read earlier.. This is significant....

However, for ROHQ,- that is an additional reduction of 10% [total reduction of 17%]; And is just simply WOW!

The thing I heard with ROHQ status is that the company will end up paying FBT (47%) for all those benefits offered to management or those positions enjoying the 15% tax bracket. So it is a balance between higher take home pay for the employees or lower bottom line for the business.

Regular tax rate: taxable income of P500K and above is 32% max

Tax rate for employees in ROHQ companies,- standard at 15%. [delta of 17% vs. current max]

Proposed max tax rate is 25%. [delta of 7% vs. current max]

Yes, that is correct bro.,- that is 47% of the approximately 45% basic-income rider (fringes).... But since most of these are being taxed at 32% right now,- there will be some sort of a middleground somewhere, subject to the agreement of both the employees and the company.

Most important things are more take home pay,- and retention.

    My favorite part.

But my favorite serious part is his stance on Mindanao... to redress historical injustices, but still recognize the modern reality, that Mindanao is no longer purely Muslim territory.

    -

Still don't like how he's downplaying the issues with the drug war, and how he's taking potshots at the CHR.

Still don't understand how so many people don't know that the CHR is specifically there to protect people from the GOVERNMENT.

Ergo: "Bakit di niyo pinoprotekta ang mga biktima sa mga kriminal"

Mga gago. That's what the POLICE are for. Kumbaga, check and balance ng police and military ang CHR.

    -

I do like that he wasn't afraid to take sly potshots at certain people over the non-passage of the BBL and the delaying of the RHBill IRR (helloooo... Tito Sottoooooo). And I like much of what he said.

    -

That said, he has a very socialist stance on the economy... which is all well and good, but where does he plan to get the money? Especially if he wants to lower taxes?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Was just reading on the news yesterday: After declaring truce with Left, Duterte urged to pull out troops | Inquirer News

Kabataan party-list Rep. Sarah Elago said that the pull-out of troops should be done immediately in communities of the Lumad, or the indigenous peoples.

“While we welcome President Rodrigo Duterte’s pronouncement of a unilateral ceasefire with the CPP-NPA-NDF, we emphasize that the ceasefire will only bring peace to the hearts and minds of the multitudes affected by militarization if government troops will pull out of their schools and communities immediately,” Elago said.

I agree that declaring a truce is a first step to trying to establish talks once again but to ask for troops to withdrawn from schools and communities (as stated on the article) is being irrational, to put it nicely.
