    ‘Shabu addicts beyond redemption’

“Regarding shabu [use], how can we rehabilitate? During the visit of some Americans… they say that the brain of a human being, [due to] constant [drug] use, [after] more than a dozen times, it begins to shrink,” Duterte said on Sunday during a dinner he hosted for fellow San Beda College of Law graduates in Malacañang.

“According to them, on the largest scale, rehabilitation is no longer a viable option. So what will I do with [them] who are now ruined? How about their families?” he said.
So ano na ang gagawin sa mga yan PGong? Pataba sa lupa?

Philippine National Police Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa confirmed that Chinese national Meco Tan was among the high-value targets of the police.

“He has been operating here in the Philippines for almost eight years already. He was responsible for putting up drug laboratories, shabu laboratories here in Metro Manila that has been busted,” Dela Rosa said in a telephone interview with ANC’s Headstart.

PNP: Crime slips as drug war intensifies

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday reported a downward trend in crime in the first half of 2016 amid the government’s relentless war against illegal drugs.

PNP said a total of 46,060 crime incidents were recorded in June, down from the 52,950 incidents reported in January.

Chief Superintendent Camilo Pancratius Cascolan attributed the decrease to the government’s ongoing drive against illegal drugs, namely Project Double Barrel and Project “Tokhang.”

Change has come sa BIR. Kung 3 mos ang aantayin during the old days, ngayon 5 days na lang. Commissioner Dulay is making changes.

Viral: Man presents BIR chief’s “no red tape memo” to worker, gets papers within 5 days | Kicker Daily News

Man said he was able to get his papers from BIR within five days
A BIR employee initially told him that processing would take three months
He showed the employee a copy of BIR chief’s no red tape memo, got his papers quickly
He credited Duterte and his promise to wipe out red tape for the speedy processing

MANILA, Philippines – So, they can do their jobs quickly after all.

On his Facebook, a certain Alexander John Rico shared how he was able to get his papers from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) within five days after showing a copy of Commissioner Cesar Dulay’s “no red tape” memo.

According to Rico, he was initially told that the Certificate Authorizing Registration (CAR) he applied for would take three months to be processed and released.

However, he nevertheless went back to the BIR after a few days to take his CAR. After a BIR employee laughed and told him his application would take three months to finish, Rico whipped out a copy of Dulay’s memorandum order mandating the release of CARs within five days.

Failure to release the CAR within five days would hold the erring employee liable for breaking the country’s Anti-Red Tape Law.

After reading out Dulay’s memo, Rico said the employee suddenly changed his tone, took his claim slip, and asked him whether he was willing to wait until after lunch to have his CAR processed.

Alvarez to probe drug use in Bilibid during De Lima's time

“Kung meron man dapat imbestigahin dito, ito, in aid of legislation, let us investigate why during the term of now Senator De Lima nag-proliferate ang illegal drugs sa loob mismo ng Bilibid. Iyan ang dapat imbestigahan,” said the incoming House Speaker on Friday, July 22.

“Alam mo, pagka secretary ka tapos under your watch e ‘yung illegal activities doon sa agencies ay nagproliferate, e we have to be more strict on that

"Very big, very big. He must be operating here in the Philippines around eight years already. He was responsible for that shabu laboratory in Metro Manila. Ngayon patuloy pa rin ang kanyang ginagawa," dagdag ni Dela Rosa.

Hold on a sec. The guy had to threaten the BIR guy with the Anti Red Tape Law before he acted. That's not proper implementation. If anything, we should thank whoever authored that bill, or else that guy wouldn't have anything to threaten the BIR with.

But hey, kakaupo lang ni Dulay. Let's see if he can properly implement it, looking forward to it.

Um, why would he need lecturing? He understood the Anti Red Tape Law and fought for his rights, even though in theory the BIR should know and should be doing this already. Kudos to him.

What i don't get is why you're posting this on the Duterte thread. Off topic na.
