Matrabaho maghandle ng prison system. At bilyones ang budget every year pagkain pa lang. Tapos sa lawyers and judges pa. Paikot-ikot lang.

Meh. Not a fan of death penalty. Giving them easy death or subjecting them to sadistic punishments doesn't achieve anything. Why not make use of those people instead? Mas maganda forced labor hanggang di na makagalaw or in worst case scenarios like invasion, gawing human shield or use them in suicide missions. That way you give them a chance to contribute to society at the expense of their lives. Pag manlaban, gawing pataba sa lupa. No need for proper burial rites.
But of course, the justice system must be strengthened first to prevent abuses.

Dati yes, now no. Madali masyado ang death as punishment. For heinous crimes I prefer life in prison without any parole, the first 5 years of which is solitary confinement followed by 10-20 years of hard labor. No visitors except by his lawyer. No presidential pardons, no considerations for old age or sickness. Dun siya mamamatay sa loob at cremation na agad sabay tapon ng abo sa kubeta, no reminder of his existence should remain.

Sa punto de vista kasi ng naging biktima na ng mga kriminal lalo na pag namatayan or nagahasa,ora mismo,death penalty ang gusto niyan to avenge the loss or disrespect of their loved ones. But for those who feel safe and secured by reason of their status in life ie. Living in secured homes and working under safe environment (de hatid at sundo), it seems that most of them are for restorative justice rather than for punitive justice.

I am for the death penalty. We might as well engineer ways on how to more efficiently do it - more output at less cost. Or maybe create a reality show around it - put all these death convicts in a game to the death. At least ha, kikita pa government sa TV ads tapos baka talunin pa Big Brother or Survivor sa ratings.
