Sad truth but I doubt that these events will change the corrupt minds of our officials.

Well, we could thank the "pabaon" system in the military for the sorry state of our equipments.
All we could do is launch a diplomatic protest, as if someone will hear our side.....

Our SEA neighbors are far more advance in their military investments than we are, how much more with the People's Republic of China? They spend millions if not billions to modernize their fighting equipments.

The disputed Spratly Islands or what the Chinese calls "南沙" Nansha Islands remains a flashpoint in the region. Sadly the "bullying" will not stop there, it will continue for so long that they know RP is the "Sick man of Southeast Asia."

Hindi naman tayo i-invade basta-basta because of our ties (somehow) with the US. Pero, we will always be bullied and trashed in some way or another in the spratlys. I remember a story that when a group of marines just fiinished making shanty houses on one of the island. They left for a while to patrol and when they returned another day, the chinese were making a concrete building. Ano nga naman gagawin nila dun?

The Chinese are not interested in invading the Philippines, what interests them are the chain of islands called the Spratlys and the shipping line along the South China Sea, which is believed to have oil and natural gas deposits.

Not total pero an act of invasion parin and it will have to be meet with a declaration of war (dapat ha) pero siyempre, diplomatic measures muna. wawa tayo eh. hehe

Hopefully nga walang mangyaring ganyan and cooler, reasonable heads will prevail.

The international community including the US, doesn't recognize the Philippines' sovereign claim over the Spratly Islands. If war would break out, the US may keep a hands off policy and not come to our rescue...

That's what you get for driving out the US Bases. Dati hindi makalapit mga Chinese. Pinapaalis agad ng US Naval Fleet.

Katangahan ng Pinoy. Cost us a valuable resource of wealth in the South China Sea.
