its more on beliefs and religion.

    Matthew 15:11

It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”

Although for me personally, I am not fond of pork (dahil siguro tumatanda na ako....) pero masarap ang lechon and crispy pata.
I would rather eat pork than eat dogs.

Occasionally in aged beef, it is possible to find small amounts of fat in the cells themselves, while in pork, the cells have generally a high percentage of fatty particles. This can, for example be seen when even “lean pork” is fried. It immediately releases fat in a hot frying pan and is usually fried “in its own fat”. Since fat contains about twice as many calories as carbohydrates and proteins, it is, especially among heavy eaters, first of all stored for convenience in the connective tissue. As a result, the adiposity common to those who consume pork, including the other stress substances found in pork, i.e. mucous constituents, can only be broken down with difficulty. This corresponds in part to the “protein fattening” referred to by Wendt.

Hmm where does wagyu beef fit in?

What do you mean by this sir, that pigs literally eat feces?

pigs = food and mouth disease
    cows = mad cow disease
    chickens = bird flu

imho, if it were really that dangerous to eat or raise pigs for food, mankind would have stopped doing so out of sheer survival, not just because it is against their beliefs.

The fact that consumption of pork is prohibited in Islam is well known; but why is it prohibited, many people ask? Are the ones who do not eat the meat of the swine entrapped in a state of religious delusion or is it actually the other way around. Could it be possible that the people who disregard God’s divine ordain; those do anything and eat everything, are actually suffering from a delusional state, pride and ignorance? It is interesting that many people do not know that pork consumption is actually prohibited in Judaism and within the fundamental teachings of the Bible which defines Judo-Christianity. The following points explain various aspects and the wisdom behind prohibition of pork by the Creator of the universe.
    1. Pork is explicitly prohibited in Quran

For a true Muslim the Quran is the centre of a Divine message and guidance. There is not a single thing that any man or any prophet could have said or done that would cancel the verses of the Quran. In the holy Quran, the Creator prohibits the consumption of pork onto mankind explicitly in 4 different verses. The verses that pork (i.e. swine flesh) is prohibited in the Quran are 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115.

5:3. Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah. that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam (“submission in peace”) as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (Quran 5:3)

The above verse(s) of the Holy Quran are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why pork is forbidden, but let’s search further for more proofs.
    2. Pork is explicitly prohibited in the Bible

As mentioned before, to the surprise of many people, in both the Jewish and the Christian (biblical) scriptures the consumption of pork (much like alcohol and intoxicants) is forbidden. Even though the bible has gone through many alterations, there still exists enough evidence for a “Jew” or a “Christian” to revert back to the Truth.

The verses of the Bible that prohibit humans from eating pork (swine flesh) or even touching it are as follows:

    a) Pork prohibition in the book of Leviticus 11:7-8

7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you.

    b) Pork prohibition in the book of Deuteronomy 14:8
And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.

    c) Pork prohibition in the book of Isaiah 65:2-4

    2 I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way that is not good, According to their own thoughts; 3 A people who provoke Me to anger continually to My face; Who sacrifice in gardens, And burn incense on altars of brick; 4 Who sit among the graves, And spend the night in the tombs; Who eat swine’s flesh, And the broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

    d) Jesus (pbuh) did not ever make pork lawful

A Christian should be convinced by his religious scripture – the Bible – that pork is unlawful, however, some will bring forth illogical reasoning as to disapprove it and make their own interpretation of the text and of course satisfy their own desires. Most certainly, the Bible prohibits the consumption of pork in many passages as shown above. And since Jesus Christ (pbuh) was holy and pure, he would not have advised otherwise. It is also noteworthy that Jesus came to uphold the Law of Moses and not to disapprove or change it, he would have never commanded to change the law (to make pork lawful) as He explicitly referred to this very fact in Matthew 5:17-18 that he will uphold the Law of Moses:

    Matthew 5:17-18

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

Moreover, there is an intriguing instance in the Bible where Jesus sends out a number of “demons” or “evil spirits” in to a herd of pigs, who then fall into water and drown. It is interesting that Jesus chooses to send the “demons” to pigs and not anything else.

Could this be a symbolic act? Some may argue that it is. The story of “demons” and “herd of pigs” is narrated in Matthew 8:28-34 as follows:

28When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” 30Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” 32He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. 33Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 34Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.
    3. Antibodies and Parasitic worms make pigs biologically unclean

God, according to His infinite wisdom, has created unclean animals to clean up the earth and a pig is one of the cleaners. Do not let the unwise fool you in saying that “today pigs are raised in a clean and controlled environment.”

    a) Pigs carry special parasitic worms, excessive growth hormones and exotic antibodies

    A variety of parasitic worms:

A pig, regardless of how hygienic and clean its surroundings maybe, is still an unclean animal. Naturally, pigs could be laden with around 19 different parasitic worms, which are found in their systems.

A pig consumes its own feces, producing exotic antibodies:

A pig’s metabolism generates different antibodies in comparison to other animals resulting from its distinct biological make-up. It is also well-known that this animal feeds on its own excrement. Naturally, these antibodies combine with large amounts of growth hormones make their way to the pig’s muscles from blood circulation and accumulate overtime.

Pork contains massive amounts of cholesterol and lipids.

Any wise doctor would advice his heart patience against consumption of red meat, especially pork.

    b) Absence of sweet glands:

Sweet glands allow flushing out the poison in the blood stream. The pigs lack this feature, which is exactly why they desire to lay around mud.

    C) They don’t chew cud

Pigs eat anything and everything, even dead organisms around them.
4- Health reasons are not essential for divine prohibition:

Here is the most important point, which is overlooked by many: It is not essential for something to be unhealthy or harmful to man for it to be defined as prohibited by God. The ignorant usually make a claim saying that: “Now why is such and such (pork or alcohol) prohibited in Quran? There is nothing wrong with it!” Such attitude is a result of not understanding the fundament reasons behind the religion of God. Most people usually aim to comprehend religious matters, through extremely narrow lens; as a result, they fail to see the logic and divine wisdom behind such commandments.

God can prohibit anything, as He will – be it physically harmful or not. Although as it happens almost in all divine prohibation there exists physical, heath, social or spiritual benefit for human beings, the most important part of prohibitations, in the religion of God is to test man and those who fear Him and truly follow His religion. God prohibits different things to separate the sincere people of faith from the impostors, and the arrogant from the humble.

    DISEASES CAUSED BY PORK

The following lists show germs or parasites that are found

    in pork

    PARASITIC DISEASES

    a) TRICHINELLA SPIRATIS ( Trichina worms )

It is the most dangerous parasite to man ( Rheumatism and

muscular pain). The infected persons shown no symptoms, recover

very slowly some die, some reduced to permanent invalids. No one

is immune from this disease and there is no cure.

    b) TAENIA SOLIUM ( Pork tape worm )

The worm causes malnourishment of the person leading

to anemia, diarrhea, extreme depression melancholia and

digestive disturbances. Cysticercosis means that larva enter

the blood stream then settle down in one or more of the vital

organs of the body, for example: brain, liver, lungs or spinal

cord. They grow and encapsulate, inducing pressure to the

system around, resulting in dangerous diseases (diarrhea,

    digestive disorder, anemia, chronic invalidation).

    c) ROUND WORMS

Examples: Ascaris, which may lead to digestive

    disturbances, appendicitis, obstructive jaundice.

    d) HOOK WORMS

    Examples:Ancylostomiasis, which may lead to

anemia, oedema, heart failure or retarded

growth ( mental and physical), tuberculosis,

    diarrhea and typhoid.

    e) SCHITOSOMA JAPONICUM

Bleeding, anemia and other syndromes. If ova

are settled in the brain or spinal cord, paralysis

    and death may occur.

    f) PARAGOMINES WESTERMAINI

Infestation leading to bleeding of the lungs

    ( endenve haemoptysis)

    g) PACIOLEPSIS BUSKI

    Digestive disturbances leading to persistent

    diarrhea; generalized oedema.

    h) CLONORCHIS SINENSIS

    chlonorchiasis-obstructive jaundice, liver enlargement.

    i) METASTRONGYLUS APRI

Causes bronchitis, abscess of the lungs.

    j) GIGANTHORINCHUS GIGAS

    Cause anemia and digestive disorders.

    k) BALATITIDIUM COLI

Causes acute dysentery and general weakness.

    BACTERIAL DISEASES

    1. Tuberculosis

    2. Fusiformis necrofurus: causing foot-rot which is very

    difficult to heal.

    3. Salmonella Cholera suis: causing cholera

    4. Paratyphoid

    5. Bruceellosis: Acute, sub acute and chronic. It may lead

    to permanent disabilities.

    6. Swine Erysipelas: causing Erypelas in man.

    Viral Diseases

    1. Small pox: is was a source of infection to man.

    2. Japanese B-encepphalitis: It is the source of infection

    3. Influenza, foot mouth disease, gas tro-enteritis of the

    new born babies.

Protozoal Diseases : Toxo plasma goundii- It is a very

dangerous diseases.A new born baby of an infected woman may die

within few days or weeks after delivery. But if he survives

he may develop blindness or deafness. In adult chronic exhaustive

fever with enlarged liver and spleen may occur. Pneumonia, or

celebro- spinal meninggitis which may lead to death or madness.

The patient may become blind and deaf too.

    Fats In Pigs:

Pork contains more fats than other meats.

Therefore, people who are fond of pork are more obese than

others. Cholesterol is higher in their blood thus making them

more prone to asthereosclerosis cardiovascular accidents and

    sudden death.

    Other Diseases :

Flesh of the pork is hard to digest and may

lead to chronic digestive disturbances. Pimples, boils, cysts are

common in pork eaters. These are some of the parasites and

diseases found in pork and/ or the skin of pigs and certainly

there are many more. There is still no means of killing these

parasites, in the tissues, neither has anyone found a method of

expelling them, even produced any specific treatment for the

    diseases.

It is not surprising that over 50% of Americans suffer from hypertension.

It's not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth."

I cannot fathom the logic behind not eating pork yet dismember people in the name of religion.

Be careful of religious fanatics, they are deadlier than diseases caused by eating pork.

um guys, i'm starting to think these posts are being made by a bot/malware; the responses seem random and don't address posts from other users. Even the thread subject seems odd.
