Not anymore. Training ground na yan sa corruption. Imagine the funds spent by these Barangay and SK candidates during the campaign period.

How in the world are they going to recover that?

He can be a "judge" na pwedeng magdesisyon sa simpleng away.

The only time I've seen people actually bring problems to the barangay hall is in movies/imbestigador-type shows wherein people from the slums complain to the bgy. capt that neighbor a stole their sampayan or something.

The only thing our barangay chairman was able to do in his term was block off an exit to the village (which makes us end up taking a detour 700m away everyday), and mandate that all streets have sculptures of saints in the corner.

start with the SK first! totally waste of money ang SK.

nakakalula naman honorarium ng Kap & SK chairmen sa place nyo while here in our province nasa 3,500 Kap, Kagwd & SK chairman 2,500 lang based on the IRA budget of the brgy...as we all knew its not that rapid ang development sa mga provinces w/ the vast tract of idle &/or agricultural lands in our area kahit na sabihin may nakatira pa dito...

if i may add, its not only the SK that starts corrupt practices even at the Brgy. level so somehow influence na din mga youth natin the way they see how the government works...breeding ground NO but STEPPING STONE on becoming corrupt someday (what a pity on our future gen na sasabak sa politics!)...bad reality
