guys, hope we could try to discuss alfredo lim and manila improvement.

frankly speaking, i hate what lito atienza did in manila. made areas pang turista pero iba baka pathetic. pina ilaw ang jones bridge and reina regente pero di lang niya na isip na hirap i maintain. nag kawalaan na tuloy ang mga housing ng ilaw.

one issue is the what he did in carrieda. i hope he could the same with the area in dangwa. speaking of dangwa wala ng malakaran sa sidewalk. linalagyan ng mga display at mga upuan ng mga vendors. third world mentality pa rin. what if kinuha ng lang ang dating lot in autobus para ma decongest itol

Another thing that needs his attention is the Zobel Roxas extension project. The road is finished connecting the old "end" (Dulo) of Zobel Roxas to Delpan St. Manila. The problem is that the squatters in the area dumped their stuff there including junk and other obstructions making it impassable to vehicles, except tricycles. :fire:

Seriously........Lim is now getting the flak for declaring (initially) Mendiola open, for protest rallies. Then, biglang kambiyo. Holidays and weekends lang pwede mag-rally. Natural, dissapointed sina Beltran, Casino, etc.

First, i really was impressed by Alfred Lim's first 3 terms in Manila. I also liked what Lito Atienza did to Manila in his 3 terms. When Lim won last elections, i was kind of wary baka kasi diktahan lang siya ng opposition (Erap, Binay et. al.). Pero with his decision with regards to the Mendiola protest rallies, it just reinforced his my earlier perception of him, which is he is a mayor serving manilenos first, party affiliations come far second.

Also, what i would like Mayor Lim to do is to just replace all those aesthetic lamp posts with one that is a little bit sturdier, albeit not aesthetically pleasing.

malaki in problema ni Mayor Lim. I heard my dad say that there is an issue of double taxation in Manila. Dont know the details exactly pero, nag-rule na supreme court na dapat mag refund (tax credit) sa mga taxpayers. Mejo malaki ang i-refund nila considering they started collecting this tax na illegal nung si Lim din ang mayor and that was more than a decade ago.
