oh how noble...while they're at it, why don't they start by re-distributing "Church" owned land. I bet they'll say that their land is not good for planting kamote!

i do not know of any church owned lands big enough to be under the CARP.

but their are many haciendas here owned by rich families which should have been redistributed long ago. but as usual here in the philippines, laws have loopholes that favors those in power.

hmmmm....how about the Hacienda Luisita owned by the Aquinos???? can the bishops tell their proposal straight to the aquinos' faces???

why don't they start by distributing church owned lands first??? and let's take it a step further, the church should START PAYING TAXES!

Naks, parang mga galing sa desipulo ni Ely Pamatong mga replies a. Dalawang beses ko binasa article kasi curious po ako sa mga response. Saan po yong mga church-owned lands that you guys are talking about? Yong isang response, madami daw ninanakaw, madami tinatagong lupa. Mga kwentong barbero kasi yan pag walang proof man lang, o kung saan yan, gaano kalaki, saklaw ba ng CARP yong laki, kanino nakapangalan(pwede naman yata kunin to sa registry of deeds?). Kung meron man, hipokrito nga sila.

Malamang marami nga hipokritong obispo, pare, madre, lalong marami hipokritong kristiano(kasama ako dyan, minsan) at iba pang tao mula sa ibat ibang relihiyon. Hehe. Hipokrito man, at least may ginagawa sila para mapamahagi yang 1.3M hectares ng lupa sa mahihirap. Mas maganda ba tumahimik na lang sila?
