Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa on Wednesday admitted that he was behind the Senate resolution seeking to dismiss the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte.

"Galing 'yun sa office ko (It came from my office)," he told reporters in an ambush interview.

Dela Rosa, a known ally of the Duterte family, firmly nodded when asked if he was the one who initiated the drafting of the resolution.

"Meron [akong] pinagtatanungan na mga kasamahan, kinokonsulta (I'm asking some colleagues and making consultations)," he added.

Asked if he has gathered enough support from fellow senators, Dela Rosa said he’ll provide information once the number is “sizable.”

Issue talaga sa akin yang taxes relative to sahod ng elected officials. Kung pwde lang talaga mga nagbabayad lang ng tax ang makakaboto.

riding along that line of logic, perhaps the bigger taxpayers get to have more votes than the smaller taxpayers...?

there was also talk of suffrage for only those with a legitimate home address. aka, informal settlers (squatters!) may not vote.
for some reason, the idea never took flight.

wasn't there a time, when only men could vote? women had to fight for their right to vote...
suffrage. to suffer. to be allowed.

    bottomline,
only those who contribute to the nation's wealth, be allowed to decide how that wealth shall be managed.
but since "contribution to the nation's wealth" can come in various ways, directly or indirectly...
and since whatever decisions agreed on shall affect practically everybody, taxpayer or not, legitimate resident or not,
thus we have today's suffrage system.

    i am wondering,
what horses are being traded nowadays...?

    now, where's my morning coffee?

To spare myself the headache (and heartache), I would turn down the volume.

Obviously they don't or never have the public interest in mind (well with the exception of a few good bunch) only their own agendas.

Can you name senators that dont have their own interests in mind?

That have the same effort and energy in calling out marcos for corruption in the same way they did with the dutertes?

^ According to maharlika and mon tulfo Hindi daw eh. From what I understand, starlet ata dati na lalake.

I'd be surprised if jinggoy doesn't come after maharlika because she was very specific.
