Am planning to install yoko geolandar 2 to my ride... meron ba 275/75/16" Tama ba specs ko?" It is the stock for 2000 pajero...
I hope ma trade in ko yun luma kong dunlop grandtrek, used for 3 years na rin.
Sana pwede ko itrade in old tires...
TIPS naman kung saan shop and how much should I sell my old tires. Kung paso sa budget gayahin ko rin si pajero kid and palitan ko rin ng rallyart mags...
You may want to try your luck on the second hand tire traders in Dapitan and Blumentrit area. But like what pajerokid posted, you might not get the valued price for a 3 year old tire. My tires were 4 months old and they bartered for a measly price.
IMO, it would be much more aggressive look if you could opt for a 285/75R16 size tires. Same height as the 33 inch tire but has a 11.5 inch width.
lancelot::: 285/75R16 will fit any stock SUVs. If you want less noise and vibrations, why not choose an H/T tire? Yes, Yokohama brand does have this kind of tire size.
A 285/60R18 will fit in perfectly in your wheel well if you will use your vehicle for street and onroad use only.
wala atang local na yokohama of size 275/70R16, 275/75R16, 285/75R16. wala kasi sa catalogue ng mga dealers pero sa website ng yokohama meron. yan kasi yung gusto kong ikabit dati.
Yup 285 is wider than the stock 265 tires. And much taller tire ratio of 75 than the 70 ratio on stocks.
You just have to compromise with stiffness and handling if you choose AT tires. I doubt that Grandtreks are the cause of it. Baka maatas yung tire pressure mo sa Dunlops compared to Yokohamas. Air them to 30psi at the same time and compare the road grip it has on paved roads. Dirt wise their just the same all terrain grip. Though Yokohamas have that aggressive look advantage in the thread design.
Lucky, you found a blister fender model that has 4WD! Does that sport the 4M40 engine?
lancelot,
If the stock size of the pajero is 265/70R16 then a 285/75R16 may affect your final gear ratio, ie, slower acceleration but higher top speed. This will also throw off your speedo and odometer since total diameter difference is more than 2 inches.
A 275/70R16 is within acceptable specs since the diff is only less an inch.
