I'm considering getting 15x8 [edit: thanks for the heads up Ungas!] wheels for the Pajero. One with proper backspacing for my 12.5" wide tires.

I need a good compromise between price, looks, and toughness.

Ano ba ang ok na wheels ngayon? Ano ang trend sa design (para maporma naman kahit papano)? I'm leaning towards alloys due to weight considerations.

Pics would really help as well as prevailing prices and good places to purchase such items.

    Thanks!

With Pajero's narrower stance, imo, 15x8 should be enough to avoid fender scraping. And yet maximize tirewall side. Plus it will cost cheaper than wider mags. One design that never fails is Baja.

Or you could opt for a modern design with beadlook, note: not beadlocks.

The JAOS look is kinda interesting (I think that is what KCboy has on his rig now). But won't the painted finish take a beating on the trail? And do those things come with center caps? hehehe.

Last question: yung mga unang pics mo, polished rims ba yun o chrome rims?

Imi yung kay KCboy, but he got it at a bargain price! At less 75% of what the original Victron is pegged.

Most of the alloy wheels I've seen are just polished finish. For easier maintenance.

Meron din akong nakitang black rims with beadlook design. At around 17-18K set.

Ok nga yung price nung kay Kendrick. With centercaps na daw and polished alloy finish (no paint). hehehe.

    Parang uso yang Victron-look.

Usually kasama 2 closed center caps for the rear and 2 open types for the front. Maganda yung paint finish ng dark colored Victron. I doubt if it'll scratch during trails.

Gun metal uso na din sa mga trucks. Pati mga Crosswind Xtrm at XUV naka gun metal rims na ngayon like the XUVi. hehehe.

Kaso baka kailangan i-repaint pa lower cladding ko para bumagay.

    otep,
joined the 4x4 race sa pampanga n not a scratch sa 4 rims ko, yup imi yung akin but lahat may center caps n matibay talaga, wish ko sana may beadlocks yung design ko . it looks ok for the price n ang maganda, may offset kaya mukha malapad n malalim yung rim. uso talaga yung jaos look. stick with the aluminum alloy finish, hirap maluma yung kulay na yan.

Just to add, those rims with beads on the lip are harder to clean and don't look good when scratched-up...

    Otep
    magkano ba budget mo?
if 30K+, only two things come to my mind is the very rugged American Racing Baja or Mickey Thompson Classic II as Ungas mentioned.

meron din replica yan which is cheaper by a few thousands siguro nasa 21K
    Concept One Dakar

    AWC and US Racing Baja
in which luckily i have found a set in banawe, 2nd hand lang pero fresh kulang lang sa buff.
but this is the earlier model in which the hole designs are small (Classic I), here's the pic, di naman nalalayo ang design ng Paj mo sa Troop ko

The Gunmetal Jaos looks fab! Pero If I were you Otep (which Im not ) I'd get the Ralliart Replicas na lang. Kaso lang nga 7.5" lang.

kaso PK 16 inchers ang Ralliarts eh, maghahanap pa ng 285/75/16 si otep niyan dahil hindi na babalik less than 33 inch sa tires yan. he..he

my vote goes to the timeless Mickey Thompson Classic II yung bigger holes.

    for the rugged type.
