    this only happens when reversing...sounds like "thug, thug..."

    Engine and transmission support are all in pristine condition.

    Ride is Pajero 2000 FM...

    Sometimes that's just differential backlash. Unless you want to dismantle the rear diff, it's not really an urgent matter.
