Yup, gagana pa din ang ABS. The ABS does not read the rotor itself. May wheel speed sensor siya which gets a signal from a metal ring which moves along with the wheels.
ABS just basically waits for the brake (in a specific wheel) to lock then relieves some pressure to get it rolling again. It does not care what rotors or pads you have on your vehicle.
Changing the overall diameter of the wheel and tire combo can sometimes cause more problems than doing a brake upgrade.

Hindi naman necessary na mag-upgrade ng brakes. Sometimes, the stickier rubber and the lighter wheel-tire combo can already improve braking performance over stock. But upgrading your braking system is always a good idea. Upgrading can be not only in the aspect of stopping distance but also on the aspect of fade resistance and/or durability.
Going plus2 does allow you to put in bigger brake rotors because there is more space to do so.

I have the DBA slotted & cross-drilled rotors on my 3-ton HDJ-80. I regret having the cross-drill but I like the slots cleaning ability. The holes *always* gets filled with mud and little pebbles and they dry up in there. I always have to get a power screwdriver to clean out the holes, and then mud gets in it again...
Along with the stainless steel brake lines, I believe I got a significant braking power upgrade. However, I doubt the effectiveness of the cross-drilled holes.

Each rotor costs about Php 8K. Magkano ba ang OEM rotor sa casa nowadays? Ok na kayang deal ito when the time comes to replace worn out/too-thin rotors?
