Uuuupppss, nasa previous post pala. Tnx Doc, tawag na lang ako.
doc
if there are problems and you cannot proceed with the carbon clean, can your shop fix it and then proceed with carbon clean? or do we need to go to another shop to have it fixed?

Will the above cleaners have the same effect as a decarb?
Does a decarb also include whatever these cleaners do the injector?
Nalilito kasi ako e. I want to boost my engine's efficiency. Ano mga dapat gawin?
Doc Diesel: Several Questions lang po, hope you don't mind answering (or others who has a pretty good idea on what the answer is hehe)
I drive an 82 Mercedes W123 200D (2.0 diesel 4cyl with over 200,000km siguro)
1) Coming from Buendia cor. Pasong Tamo (Export Bank Plaza) san po shop nyo?
2) What's your real name para kung hahanapin ka.
3) May konting leak ako sa engine, but I can't seem to find the source, most likely sa oil sump or dun sa parang gasket ng injector pump ko. Will this be an issue?
4) I don't know if I have loose compression, but my engine runs quite well for a car this age and di naman gaano kausok. What usually do you do to check an engine's condition pag dinala sa shop nyo?
5) For a car this old, do you recommend doing Carbon Clean? Daming soot na siguro to hehe
6) Lastly, how long will this take?
pparado: there is no carbon clean in baguio yet but i think there is one in shell oasis service center in san fernando, la union. inquire na lang at the oasis service center in naguilian road near st. vincent's for confirmation re carbon clean.

ok, there is only one know fuel conditioner / engine cleaner we know of that really works but it is only available in the U.S. since they need it more there because of their climate. well, actually wala talag silang engine cleaner since diesel's here are so clean you will hardly see any soot coming out of their pipes.
as for those products that claim to clean your engine and or your fuel system.......I personally would not recommend them. Why? They have chemicals that can damage the internals of your fuel injection system which will lead to premature wear and tear. Whether local or imported yung product it still has the chemical which may not work best for you guys due to several engine working conditions.
Para bang yung:
1. Engineer na nilagyan ng kerosene yung diesel nila for a catamaran......
2. Yung friendly mechanic who advised you to put a little gas for more firepower....
3. Jeepney Drivers who mix kerosene too for a little push....
.....they all ended up with having to overhaul their entire fuel injection system.
as I have always said...go ahead and try it.....should I schedule you for an appointment within 6 mos. to 1 year?
Wala kasi ako dyan sa Pinas, e. Si misis lang ang nagdadala ng sasakyan...kaya ipapa-check-up ko ng lubusan pag-uwi ko. And I need all the info I can get my hands on kasi sandali lang ang time ko sa Pinas.
Dito pa lang, I can already plan my It re: the car maintenance!

Make a right going to JP Rizal, then left on Pablo Ocampo Sr. St.

Anthony J., but then I am in the U.S., look for my brother, Dave.

We would have to find the leak first and patch that problem then proceed, if ever. Like I said, we don't want you to waste money on some repair that you won't benefit from.

The surest and foolproof engine diagnosis is a compression test.

Any vehicle, truck, stationary engine etc. of any year or model that the carbon clean machine can be attached to can be done.
Originally posted by theveed 6) Lastly, how long will this take?
Depending on the engine size kasi, so for you the most would be 2 hours.

doc diesel, would carbon clean help the trooper 4jx common rail and the patrol zd30 engines? There are claims kasi na maselan daw ang mga engines na ito dahil sa dirty philippine diesel, so mabilis daw magstuck up ang injectors ng patrol at ma overhaul ang trooper. Since late last year lang supposedly pinasok ng big 3 ang clean diesel nila, accumulation from the previous years will eventually affect the cars that used the "unclean" diesel. Would carbon clean help the older suvs (2001-03) to improve, maintain, and avoid these expensive problems?
it is true that any common rail equipped engines are so sensitive that filter checking is a must ......however....we haven't used carbon clean [AFAIK] on common rail since we haven't really entertained a client with smoke problems on common rail....
common rails should have the fuel filters check as often as possible....carbon cleaning is I think out of the question since they shouldn't really be emitting carbon from your pipe not unless it's defective...
hmm, good point, sir doc diesel. Thanks! Am I right to assume that for those troopers that have followed the casa maintenance schedule yet encountered problems, need to inspect their fuel filters more often than the casa recommended schedule to avoid mistake? Would you have a recommended inspection sked, like, every 1K or 5K?
