combustion chamber cleaning is probably only concentrated on that part only........
while carburetor tune up is for on that part only.......
carbon clean will pass in all of your fuel injection system so it can clean the whole system and get rid of the carbon so your engine can breathe well therefore perform well too....
meron din ang Betan sa davao. they offer carbon clean. medyo busy pa kasi ako, di pa maka biyahe to davao, but it is definitely in my short list of immediate things to do to my pajero.
doc diesel, pwede ba full check up/ tuneup, tapos carbon clean na rin and fuels system check? i have a 97 pajero and ang balak ko is when it hits 95,000 or 100,000 kms, ipa major maintennance/tune/check up ko, pwede ba sa betan davao lahat or kailangan pang dalhin sa mitsu casa?
Doc, bad trip rin nga ako, sobrang busy dito. but i will make it a point to go there as soon as possible.
Betan Davao is located along bajada, in the region of Davao medical Center and Mitsubishi Bajada. you can't kiss it, it is on the side opposite the davao water district. they used to have a big sign advertising carbon clean.
my pajero is at 93,000 kms already. most likely when it hits 95,000, i will have it checked at Detan Davao
rlp1099,
we check the engine status first, we see to it that it is not spewing out oil in the breather or something like that since carbon cleaning this kind of what we call a loose compression engine will only waste your money since it won't improve its condition. if everything is a ok, then we go ahead and tell you that we can do it.
we don't take advantage of the fact that you would want your unit to be carbon cleaned or anything.......same with our calibration business.
on July 3 i will be driving to davao to have my car looked over by the Betan staff. i will go the whole nine yards because i am not satisfied with my pajero's performance as has been well documented in previous threads. i will post how it turns up.

Doc, is it normal kung oily lang yung breather but not spewing out of oil? Pardon my ignorance ha.... Balak ko kasi magpacarbon clean. TIA.
niwde11,
kung oily pa lang, medyo ok pa yan pero it might be an indication that your engine is going into the loose compression state which maybe another 4 to 5 years depending on how you use your vehicle.
