Offset crashes are more common in the real world (that is according to Mercedes Benz). The last time I crashed, it was an offset crash. Rarely does one crash dead-on into a perfectly flat barrier. Even hitting a lamp post creates forces not different from an offset crash since the force is very concentrated in one area.

The IIHS test is a tougher test than what the federal government mandates. IIHS tests are done at a higher speed with only 1/2 of the vehicle impacting the barrier. So expect a lot of vehicles to score lower here than they do in NHTSA tests.

most of the time naman kapag naaksidente ka, you try to steer away from the car or object you are about to hit, thats why most of the time offset ang crash.

Steering away gives hope that you might not hit. trying to aim the car dead on might get you jail time. Diba murder yun. hehe.

hmmm... so between a static object and a car, i should choose the car...

Makabili na nga ng military 6x6.
