Finally after months of waiting, scrutiny, asking, showroom visits and deliberation, I have finally made my final decision what SUV to buy and Its something I havent even considered, even scoffed at it months ago. and the winner is, drum roll please!!!! Hyundai's Santa Fe!!!!!!

Thank you to all the people who replied to my queries, all your points taken into serious considerations. After Asking opinions re CRV, outlander and fortuner..... Santa fe came from behind hehehehehe

After analyzing what I was going to use it for, and comparing specs per specs santa fe always seems to be better than everything else except for the brand of course, then I realised, hell with the brand! as long as I enjoy using it and I can use it more often because of its FC, hecks it even looks better! I don't care anymore what other people think of the hyundai brand.... Can't even say its a cheapo, more expensive than all 3..... I just hope that I made the ride decision, so Hyundai, back me up baby!!!!

Will place my order next week for a supeior red 2.2 Crdi!!!! Wish me luck people!!!

Good luck. Forget other people would say. I'll also pick Sta. Fe over the others mentioned.

Hahaha... +1... but of Korean tires I've driven recently, the ones on the Santa Fe are actually amongst the better ones.

    Put it on dubs...

Natakot nga rin ako sa sinabi dito na panget ang Korean radials. hehehe.

Last night, a crazy dump truck shifted to my lane while i was going a bit fast and then he went for like 20kmh! Thank God for ABS and the Hankook DynaPro tires didn't fail me, i was able to decelerate on time. Although, it's kind of strange that i still heard tire squeaks in succession. like eenggggk eeenggggk eeengggk while super-quickly looking for space to direct the 2-tonne car. I thought ABS was supposed to eliminate that.

    or my ABS didn't work/activate?

Congratulations! All SF owners here at tsikot had the same predicament like you about the brand. Don't mind about what other people say about korean brands. They are as good as japs. By the way SF's are made in Korea kaya okay ang build quality. As i have said before, "hindi ka magsisisi".

By the way did you get the 4x2 or 4x4 CRDi?

Congrats and welcome to the club... what club? wala pa pala santa fe club. Sana makabuo na... I got also the superior red. 3 colors in 1 ... if you are interested in crdi 4x4, i heard it is available for a waiting time of around 90 days.

    Niky,

What are dubs? Sinuggest ko naman tire swap kasi baka makuha na na freebie sa dealer. Dunno how different are the SF's tires but our last Starex's tires lasted all of 1 year bago na-oblong.

BTW, congrats sa mga reviews mo. Galing ah -- sobrang kumpleto!

Dubs = 20" rims. I was just kidding... from experience (I wasn't the one who bought them, though), 20" rims are a pain in the butt to maintain.

For the Santa Fe, a move up to 18" rims and sportier tires should be enough.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

At last a Final Decision!
