piston rings, overhauling gasket or what?

pag may oil ba na nalabas sa oil cap is it a sympton of a damaged ring? Notice ko kasi wala naman usok pag naandar ako, yun nga lang may tagas sa oil cap kahit mahigpit naman ang pagkasara ko. I'm planning to replace my piston ring and overhauling gasket (kit) sabay na ng mga belts next week i'm just confused kung anu ang may diperensya. Hope you could help me guys with experience also diesel guru's.

kung wala ka naman makitang problems. or changes the way it runs. replace fiirst the oil cap baka loose nayung gasket sa loob.

It should coincide with other symptoms (loss of power, bad fuel economy, eats oil, etc.).

A single symptom will not clinch your diagnosis.

Do you have steam with oil coming out of your dipstick when you take it out? If it has better consider a compression test. This would take the guess work out of your problem.

not only do you replace the pistons rings and overhaul gasket kit, there are still a lot of parts involved. better be have its compression tested before taking the big plunge.
