I saw a pickup with a 2003 LTO sticker and ending plate "1". So I assume na naregister na ito and probably went through the emissions testing thing. Pero while I was tailing it for a couple of kilometers napansin ko medyo mausok. Have any of you guys seen any PUJs or mausok na vehicles na naregister na din?

yung owner jeep (gas-fed) ng uncle ko di pumasa kasi due for overhaul na. he failed to get his 2003 lto sticker.

wala bang 'lagayan' diyan sa emission testing?

    Unfortunately meron

In cahoots of course with LTO personnel. Yung barkada ko paid 500 bucks to "pass" the emission test.

Ano ba yung 500 compared sa libo na magagastos mo to overhaul your engine...

    Haaaay....

my friend's ride (civic) also pass the test without actual testing, worth P500 din.

I hope we won't patronize those testing centers that could be bribed. Tayo din ang talo in the end with the worsening air pollution.

Passing the 2003 Lto emissions testing doesnt mean that your diesel transpo doen't emit smoke at all.

Basta the testing center should follow the said guidelines in the test. Ung pinagtestingan ko hindi nagpapalagay...they followed the guidelines at pasado naman ang 4d56 ko. :D :D

    Heres what i did:
    1. Clean air filter
    2. Clean exhaust via "gripo"

Of course dapat well taken care of ang makina. The owner should follow regular maintenance scheds.

We should take seriously the worsening problem of air pollution in Manila. Sobra nang la-la. Babalik sa atin yan if we don't do anything with this problem. Kahit malaki yung problem we should start somewhere.

Teka lang, paano ang mga vehicles of the 60's? Yung walang emissions control systems.

what an attitude! this kind of test should be taken seriously , it dosen't matter whether you passed or not, what matter most is your initiative to contribute for the welfare of our environment. There's no difference between him and those f*#king jeepney , taxi and bus drivers whom we could compare to thieves and other sorts of criminals - earning a living while pestering other people. :x

By the way,I've heard that there's a rampant "lagayan" to pass this test at LTO Main at East Ave.Of course , those who do this are the typical idiots and menace- PUV drivers as well some rotten eggs at LTO.KAKAGIGIL TALAGA!!!!

Meron namang re-test that costs half the price. Susginuu. :?

Oh before I forgot, I just did passed the emmission test with flying colors! (.30 K value)

    For diesel engines:
vehicles before Dec.31, 2002 needs passing K value of 2.5 for natural and 3.5 for turbo engines.
vehicles after Jan.1, 2003 need to pass 1.2 for natural and 2.2 for turbo engines.

I'll post the pix as soon as pbase is up and running.

Opacity % and K value ang tinitignan. Natural sa Pajero ang mausok, you don't have to spend full synthetic oils if your engine is more than 5 years old. Just follow a good maintenance period checklist and your engine will be safe.

Why not try it on other emission test centers? Baka bagong calibrate yung machine nila.

Pasado sa Emission testing?
