Nice read indeed! Kailangan ang stability or traction control talaga for suvs. Pero marami pang models dito na wala yun. Parang tinitipid yata tayo.

ABS provides control under extreme braking conditions. Traction control provides stability under accelerating conditions. Both safety features aid the driver to prevent accidents.

These two still cannot modify the laws of physics. SUV's are top-heavy still compared to passenger cars that's why they have a higher chance of rolling over.

Also consider that if you're comparing your SUV's to the ones listed, that the listed ones may have the safety equipment that models in the home country do not. So if your SUV is there make sure it also has the same safety equipment so you can have peace of mind.

Funny I was just reading that this morning from a different news source, tapos naka-post na kaagad dito sa Tsikot. Walang naka 5 star rating (10% or less chance of roll over). I think in 1 to 2 years mandated na ng NHTSA yang Electronic Stability Control.

mbeige, ABS and Traction control are different from Stability Control. Braking and Accelerating on the first two, the third one is for Cornering (understeer/oversteer) but all has same concept by using the brake. On higher end model Stability Control even uses throttle besides braking.

this is a + for people who believe SUV can also be into racing.

naalala ko tuloy yung Ford Everest sa Ateneo.

seriously, it's good news Suv these days are getting better...

btw, why is Pajero not listed? di ba may Pajero sa states?

The Pajero (Montero in the US) was phased out in the USDM a few years ago. The current model Pajero will probably not be sold in the US either.

doesnt is still go back to the driver to prevent a rollover in the first place, like they say in discovery chanel 90% of accidents are caused by drivers.. so i guess this is great help for those drivers that just drive and not worry bout other stuff.....
