American Motor Sport --> MT Classic 2 lookalike

Finally, got rid of my AR Tailgunner. Starting to rust na kasi. Di compatible sa mga floods dito. Hehehe. Grabe talaga ang weight difference ng chrome steel and polished alloy.

Maganda design ng Tailgunner kaso steel kasi siya so its rust prone. And the weight factor also...imagine its almost 1.5x the weight of a single alloy mag

Well, AR has alloy chrome mags. Alloy siya pero may chrome finish. Rust-proof. Their MT classic 2 lookalike costs over P80k.

Got my mags from my friend in Bacolod. He shipped it over. Had to pick it up nga sa pier the other day. Balak ko kasi Mickey Thompson Classic 2 kaso the smallest size is 15 x 8 and medyo sumasayad sa wheel wells ko. I inquired sa Auto Options and thats where I found out about the American Motor Sport na 15x7. Tried it there and it fit perfectly. They quoted me a price of P26.8k. Sad thing is, ayaw nila kunin yung AR ko for trade-in. Went canvassing sa mga tireshops along Dapitan and Blumentritt. Guess what was their appraisal value sa 5 set ng AR ko: P4-6k lang!!!! Grabe! Called up my friend in Bacolod and blessing in disguise, he had the same model! P25k lang bigay nya sa akin. And he's willing to get my 5 AR mags for P13k. Bale P12k lang dagdag ko. 3 months to pay pa.

That's a pretty good deal you got on your rim set-up.

a decrease in unsprung weight (i.e. lighter rims) does help the performance of the car quite much (better handling, etc...).

OT, saan kayo sa Bacolod? (just curious)...
