guys, help naman, plano ko kasi trade-in or swap yung 1993 honda hatchback ko with b16a engine, full gathers, four disk brakes, power steering, mags, etc...

    thanks alot in advance

overheating sa vannette is a real issue...

Do you really need all the seats?

Btw, a straight swap with a Vitara is also possible with your car. Just in case you need something more practical.

That's quite a radical jump from hot hatch to family van... IMO, di ka ba lugi dun sa straight swap given your Civic has a different engine already?

Fuel consumption will be at 5-6+ km/L in the city while overheating can be remedied (try asking other Vanette owners... i think there was a thread on this before).

Why would you need all the seats? Growing family?

Vanette consumption = 6Km/L city; 7Km/L highway driving.

Yes, overheating is definitely a problem, especially with that year model.

There are aircon shops who offer to relocate one of the condensers and then add an aux fan. With this, overheating is not an issue anymore.

'95 up.

Bukod dun, simple lang ang construction niya kaya madali ayusin using basic hand tools kahit sa bahay (I replaced the rear shocks in under two hours without needing to jack up the vehicle or remove the tires). Use the search function to see other Vitara threads. 7-9km/L (city) for something with a truck frame and dual range 4x4 isn't that bad.

Sino ba nagsabi?

Dun ako nagpapalit ng axle boot last month. Php130.00 per boot lang. Parang Php300.00/side naman ang labor.

Dito nakapost yung name and contact number ng iba pang Suzuki part stores: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31039

Ito yung Vit na ginagamit ko:

Acquired last August 2005, '95 model with 80,000kms.

Yung kapitbahay ko nga pala for sale yung Vitara niya. Kulay beige.

Running price niya is Php230k up. Yung nasa post ko Php280k pa last year pero makinis na yun.

IMO, parts for Zuk wouldnt be much of a problem (you have tsikot.com and the other clubs/sites such as 4x4ph to help you on this). The Zuk will be easier on your daily expenses as well. Take note the Vanette may also be prone to tirik in the baha due to it's being an old engine design already.

Take your time; try to assess also how much you can sell your Civic then maybe you can try to sell it first (advertise it on the net in the Manila Bulletin classifieds) then you can use the cash to either buy the Vanette or another vehicle such as the Zuk.

OT na tayo pero itong 1997 Vitara A/T ng kapatid ni iceman (of the Vitara Club) ay for sale sa halagang Php250k.

    - white, box stock
    - A/T
    - tow bar and hitch (tama ba yung term ko?)
    - Old Man Emu rear shocks
    - 104t kms travelled
    - nothing major to fix
    - ending plate 5

    hello guys,

it's been quite a while since i last posted here. we had a nissan vanette a few years back. ok naman sya since you could fit quite a number of friends and family members. Probem lang nga ung overheating and medyo malakas nga lumaklak ng gas.But i think an aftermarket radiator would remedy the overheating issue.ung sa konsumo sa gas nalang ang probleme.hope this helps.

Ex-owner of a Vanette here... loved the AC, space and drinks cooler on our Grand Saloon model (or whatever they called it), and by the late 90's Nissan had cured the overheating problem with a factory installed auxiliary fan. Of course, they never did cure the gas-guzzling problem.

If you really want extra seats, why not a diesel AUV?

My advice is, take your time on your purchase/upgrade/trade-in... weigh all the factors and look at why you want to buy a vehicle. This will help you better decide what you want to trade up to.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

need advice on 1995 vanette
