I hate those friggin shops that asks you to foot any little extra labor, materials or parts they damaged that they're supposed to cover anyway. Ganyan din ang naging experience ko sa when I had my clutch replaced sa Midas. Kung ano-anong maliliit na bagay gustong singilin sa akin. Palibhasa hindi ako bumili sa kanila ng piyesa. Anything and everything nalang, sisingilin nila.

Eto pa yung nakaktawa dun sa experience ko - when I went there to have my clutch replaced, I had brought along a new set of engine mounts for them to install. Makes sense, because 4 out of 5 of the corolla's engine mounts are mounted on the tranny. Guess what, they wanted to charge me a separate, exorbitant rate for labor in replacing the engine mounts. I had a discussion with the service manager. I even offered to do it myself just to show them that if the tranny is already disassmbled from the vehicle, it should take less than 5 minutes to replace them. When he noticed that he was dealing with an actual car owner who isn't an idiot (not just some corporate account that they're so used to screwing), he decided to charge me for replacement of only 1 engine mount. Fair enough. Then trouble happens. Their idiot mechanic had popped a bolt head in the bell housing during disassembly. Instead of just trying to extract the remains of the broken bolt, the idiot decides to go the power route and bores the hell out of the tranny bolt mounting. Now, I'm stuck with one oversized bolt on my tranny.

the best talaga is bring your car to your suking mekaniko, be it casa or sa tabi-tabi lang. basta kakilala, walang lokohan. minsan merong pang free snacks, like kina chieffy

Masyadong papalit palit ang tao sa Casa (can't blame them, OJT sila). Kaya it's better talaga to find a trusted mechanic who will work your car. Ika nga dapat kahit papano ay may pagkakaibigan kayo ng mechanic mo and you see them not just as a mechanic but as a person. Same thing din, dapat they should see you as a person and not just as a customer para may malasakit sila sa work nila.
