    di naman ginagamit ito sa UTILITY.

    The BMW X5 can still fall under this forum because it is still classified and marketed as an SUV.

    The term SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) was just coined by the marketing people at BMW because the X5 was not designed (read: not tough enough) to fullfill most SUV duties like off-roading and towing.

    But, it still competes with conventional SUV's in the marketplace.

    ako gusto ko makina ng RX400 pero sa bodystyling ng X5 , ang hirap no ? About
    the same price range ba ang mga ito ?

    I do not think the RX300 compares at all to a X5 with any engine. The RX400 seems to be more of a 'chick' car to me . Perhaps you should compare the ML320 and ML430 with the X5 depending on you price range.
    The RX400 is built on a Camry Chassis. It just was not built from the ground up to be a SAVish vehicle. It rolls much to easy. The X5 does not share the same chassis as the 5 series and is built from the ground up using the 4.4L/3.0 liter engine found in the 5 and 7 series. It's not fair to compare the X5 and RX400. The only place the RX has the X5 beat is with price

    i believe na under SUV parin ang X5.

    tama si boss otep...BMW coined that term for marketing purposes...

    sa ngayon....X5 for me!

    basta pang utilities yun na yun , pero ang CRV means Compact Recreational Vehicle
    pero sa states they call it mini SUV's like the Rav4 , Vitara , Santa Fe , Sportage , Explo
    rer etc . Basta kung ako derecho na sa full size .

    Ako kasi Glenn, either semi-serious (hindi light duty) towing, or off-roadability (read:may low range, ha) tinitignan ko.

    Otherwise, I call them cute-utes or soft-roaders.

    Volvo came out with their own SAV for 2003. The XC90. Looks like an X5.
    I still think X5 much sportier looking. IMO.
