Hmmm... think I'd like a test-drive, though, especially since it's turbodiesel MT (I don't expect it to be quick...) ... best trade-in we could get for the Crosswind would be at Isuzu...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Looks like they're really accessorizing the Crosswind to do battle with the Adventure and the newer Innova. I wish they did something to really help with the power though. The bigger tires and so much kit are taking their toll on performance.

Tulong mga Bro. I'm confused between automatic & manual transmission for the Sportivo 2007.

Engine= 4JA1-L EURO 2 Direct Injection Diesel, Low Charge Turbo.
AT or MT, alin ba sa dalawa? Help mga Bro...

    Thnx in advance.

    AT
pros: easy to drive especially sa bumper to bumper traffic.
cons: slow acceleration, especially from full stop, but when you gain momentum ok na. fuel consumption, medyo mababa lang sya ng 1-2 liters per km compared to manual. maintenance, medyo mahirap i-repair ang AT.

    MT
pros and cons: kabaliktaran lahat ng sa AT! hehehe!

IMO, kung parating city driving ka lang most of the time---get the AT

kung most of the time eh hi-way or provincial trips mo gagamitin yung sasakyan---get the MT

mabagal pumik-up yung RPM ng AT. I've tried flooring an AT XUV... tagal bago umabot ng 3000 RPM while standing still.... eh di lalo pa kaya kung loaded at tumatakbo. no wonder kayang kaya iwanan ng xt's/xto's yung xuv's based on my highway racing matchups with xuv's

kung gawin nilang AT/turbo yung xti, yun na lang kunin mo. lighter body and smaller footprint yung wheels.

but then again.. it'll all boil down to your driving style... so test drive mo rin xti or xt to get a feel.

all 2007 crosswind is a turbo engine.... kahit automtic or manual.. better choose the manual nalng... yup tlagang mabagal ang automatic ng crooswind but kung city driving k alang parati, ok lang kung A/T.... ok naman ang XTi... its in the average level na variant sa crosswind series... not much accessories but all power... meron pa yan 3 years waranty kahit hindi pa CRDi ang engine.. ganyan ka confident ang isuzu sa engine nila...

I have an XUVi A/T... what I observed on its performance on regular driving, and been testing it from full stop to acceleration is that, flooring the gas pedal doesn't really help. Minsan nga pag floor ko 'yong pedal parang feeling ko mas mabagal pa kasi parang lunod ang dating, kaya tinitimpla ko pag press sa pedal when the gear changes to at least optimized.

yeah plus 1-2 o 3 hp matted with an automatic tranny so ganun din mabagal parin or maybe mas mabagal pa

but after seeing the prices .... i think mag innova kna lang it would last you longer coz mas bgo or yet try the avanza 7 seater for 780k

i think the innova is much better pati adventure pero medyo maporma parin ang sportivo

Crosswind ATs are really really slow. Overtaking is a matter of strategic planning on the scale of waging a Gulf War, whereas in the MT, all you need to do is find enough room.

Ditto on the XT. I prefer the smaller wheels on this variant compared to the higher ride height and off-road tires of the higher-end models, which do nothing but make braking distances too long and handling unsecure.

guys baguhan lang po ako sa forum na ito and need some advice 'cause im planning to buy a isuzu sportivo by dec. ano ba ang kagandahan ng sportivo comparing to other SUV's. mostly says mas matibay daw ito is it true? matipid ba siya sa deisel at d ba siya matagtag?

sensiya na po kung madami tanong d ko kabisado mga cars sa pinas kasi nasa ibang bansa po ako. d2 gamit ko toyota landcrusier GXR 2006model ito masasabi ko matatag at tested ko na for a year, prado hmmnn... delikado kung d mo kabisado menabela kasi mabilis response. fortuner never tested.

Matagtag yung Sportivo compared to other SUVs/AUVs... even the Fortuner! Yung handling at braking di rin maganda... pero di naman pang-racing ang Sportivo... just drive slower, use lower tire pressure and be careful, and everything will be fine. Super-tipid yung makina niya, as long as you buy a manual transmission.

(original battery after 100k kms! Bwahahaha!) If you don't mind having a muffler shop replace the flexipipe on your exhaust after 20-25 thousand kilometers, no headaches.

If you are using AT na Crosswind, you need to study ang pick up ng engine mo. Flooring the accelerator na hindi pa sa 4th gear ay lalong tatagal ang acceleration. Kasi it will stay longer sa gear na engaged niya. Floor down the accelerator pag nasa 4th gear nayan and see how fast it is.

The technique is to accelerate to the level na mag chechange agad yung gear to 4th gear and that's it. I always do it in sa XTO ko.
