Tagal ko na nag-ooffroad wala pang tama Pajero ko. Pero yung underbody armor talagang tatama iyon. That is what it was designed for - hard contact.

Pwede naman mag-offroad ng stock (like me). You don't need an overmodified rig to enjoy the sport

Pick up medyo matagtag pero ok lang.

Pickups are good!! double purpose... suggestion.. buy a brand new... kaya lang less budget na para sa mods... pag 2nd hand naman, dapat sure ka sa pagkukuhanan mo, baka mamaya maubos din budget mo sa pagpaparepair.

kahit stock for off-road use... kaya lang you cant bring it to the extremes, same as with our pajero, stock din yun... pero can survive ang mga trails...

sa mga pick ups..i'd get the ranger....hi lux....frontier (new) and tha strada.mas matagtag nga lang ito kaysa sa mga suv's...from my experience.

maniniwala ka bang tinakbo ko ang safari ko sa BRC (batanggas racing circuit) nung last track day namin ng nissanbayan!?!

mabilis naman eh...hindi lang pang DRAG.

just keep it in tip top shape by regular change oils.

highway na under construction yung dito sa amin. Kaya free for all. hehehe. Yung sa Pampanga ilog at trails talaga. Yung sa hi peak private land yun.

You will be amazed at how far you can go stock. Yung avatar at sig ko stock naman ang Pajero ko diyan. Sabagay hanggang ngayon stock pa din siya. hehehe

yung winch yung kinakabit sa harap for recovery. Yung tali na may drum. hanapin mo na lang sa google.com. heheheh.

Gusto ko na palitan yung bumper para gumanda apporach angle. Saka pwede mo na tuntungan yung bumper na iyon.l Pwede na din gamitin hawakan kapag tinutulak yung sasakyan.

Mura lang mga built na second hand LC40 mga 240T.

Ok naman yung Terrano kaya lang hindi malakas ang sales kaya konti talaga off-road niyan. Saka the same lang ng Frontier at Pathfinder pick-up kaya yung pick up na din usually off-road.

Sa Tandang Sora po itong lupang nilalaruan namin. Punta ka lang dito. Oks lang.

At P1M, marami ka ng options. But you have to decide, not all 4x4 will give you speed. The next best thing I have seen in a fast 4x4 is probably a Patrol (the first in speed and 4x4 capability are the 4x4 of Ford - Explorer, Expedition, F150, Sportrac).

But you're budget will fit only a Safari Patrol plus cost of modifications....all other brands (like LC80, LC70 and new Patrol) will have a cost higher than P1M.

Things to look for if you want speed and 4x4 capability would be:

1) Big engine (like the 6 cylinder diesel of Safari and LC80)
2) Differential lock (preferably front and rear - stock Safari and LC80 have the rear na yata)
3) If opting for big wheels like a "35 or "37 diameter, the ring and pinion gears should be matched too para hindi hirap and the speed will also not be compromised.
4) Rear and front winches - and a powerful batery to match it (Optimas??) if electric or a powerful power steering pump if hydrolic.
5) Snorkels and water-sealed tranny, differential and gas tank.
6) Pogi-points bumpers - like the ARB, TJM, JAOS

Kung wala kang intention to sell it again in the future, why don't you consider Jappy's Hammer (Hummer look-alike). Kahit sa hotel or any formal gathering mo dalhin, napakadecente pa rin (with or without the putik :lol: ).

odel, nice to have you on board, try our sport first, sama ka sa off roading, makisakay ka muna kung wala kang 4x4 then you decide what's best for you, nung first time ko i have already a 4x4 pickup, (kasi sa business ko kailangan ko ang pick-up), pero kung ako ang pagpipilian ngayon i will buy a LC70, or a landrover defender

sama ka pag may trail, high peak, daraitan, lahar course,
iba iba kasing set up din yan eh

pero with your 1M budget...no contest LC80

i have read almost everithn in ds forum section.. i came to lyk the inputs on having a 4x4..
jus wanna know y u picked 4x4.. suv.. than sedan cars..
i know pipol has their own prospect.. just wana know each one of urs.. hehe

why a 4x4 than a sedan? nasanay ako sa mataas ang view. from my 1st vehicle (daihatsu hi-jet) upto my next vehicles (tamaraw fx & now Gen1 Pajero). Yung company service vehicle namin na madalas ko i-drive is a ford ranger & a toyota hi-lux both are 4x4 din.

di kasi ako sanay mag-drive ng kotse kaya yun ang pinili ko.

as for off-roading, di ko pa nasubukan yung Gen1 ko, pero yung hi-lux & ranger madalas namin mai-panhik ng bundok. kung pick-up 1st choice ko yung hi-lux next yung ranger.
kung suv, dream ko yung new patrol then trooper.
kung mini-suv, vitara, escape, then rav4, then crv.
