My bro-in-law who works for an insurance company mentioned to me that there has been a rise in gun-point carnap incidents (he told me to be more careful with my pick-up). Most of the vehicles involved/stolen were SUV's, pick-ups, and AUV's.

Their theory is that since this usually occurs when election time approaches, the stolen vehicles are used for campaign purposes in the provinces.

Konting ingats lang mga peeps, park in "safe" places, and avoided deserted roads if possible.

As usual, do not be afraid to use your SUV as a weapon when confronted by such compromising situations. A midsize SUV will easily push a similar or lighter vehicle should it be blocking your path.

Lock your doors always and be aware of your surroundings.

Escaping in an SUV is almost foolproof. It will run over or break through almost anything (especially if you get a TJM like Ungas).

But in the end, always remember that your life is still more important more than anything else.
