I had mine registered just today. Everything went smoothly. My Strada passed the emissions test. Medyo mahigpit sila in the sense di ka papayagang i-register vehicle mo if you fail the test. I interviewed some of the staff. Madami-dami din ang bumabagsak specially those Kawasaki 2-stroke motorcycles, jeepneys, and some old trucks. May nakasabay ako kaninang 3-month old Revo 1.8 liter gas EFI na bumagsak. Gulat nga kami. Isosoli daw ng may-ari sa casa. May bumagsak ding isang Corolla '96 Gli. Suggest ko make sure properly tuned engines ninyo. Goodluck. :D

yung sister-in-law ko last week nagpa-rehistro. car is a 2000 nissan exalta. bagong tune-up sa casa 5 days before she went to LTO. ang resulta, BAGSAK!! nagtataka nga kami kung bakit. so she went to a nearby shop to have it fixed para hindi na siya pabalik-balik. sabi dun sa shop eh masyado daw mataas yung ewan ko yung term and hindi daw nila kaya at baka lalo masira auto. so in short binalik na lang sa casa and after that she went to LTO. ang resulta, PASADO na.

in an old related thread, it seems that the casas do some sort of magic on our cars. by some friggin miracle, it seems that after a trip to the dealers PUMAPASA mga auto. BAKET KAYA? :?:

Ah baka exempted nga pala sila... private vehicles only...

    peeps,

question lang po.. in case you fail the emission testing, will they charge you again after you get your car repaired and return it to them for a re-test?

    cj,

Yes, it will cost you another 300 bucks to have it again tested after you fail the 1st time.

    Dianne,

Mahigpit sila in if di ka pumasa ay di ka papayagang i-rehistro vehicle mo. Sa mga buses sa EDSA it will take some time bago mawala ang mga iyan. Since Jan pa lang at siguradong di pa narerehistro ang iba diyan ay siguradong may uusok pa. After a year when all vehicles have been registered then we will see a difference. I hope...

had my SET yesterday (mits lancer 2k), pasado naman. paparegister ko na bukas. di naman gano kahigpit pero they mean business.

make sure properly tuned yung car before going to the SET.

    my experience:

    a) a revo SR passed (98 model)
    b) a tricycle passed
    c) an 82 sentra failed
    d) a scooter passed
    e) an itlog (96) passed
    f) a 2k galant failed
    g) an FX failed
    h) a besta failed.

    next year na ulit!!!!

metro manila registered vehicles lang ba ang affected sa emission test? pano naman 'yong mga bus/jeeps na registered for example sa Cavite pero bumibiyahe sila from baclaran to somewhere else in Cavite?
