Just stick with the prescribed maintenance schedule in your owner's manual since newbie ka pa lang sa diesel. Now you don't have to worry about spark plugs, condensers, contact points, etc. hehehe.
Madaming tips and tricks ang mga tao dito sa diesel forum regarding maintenance.

welcome newbie trese ;)
PMS every 5K, change oil, change oil filter, clean air filter (replace if you have budget every 10,000 km or more often). clean fuel water separator, clean fuel filter every 5K but replace every 10K. every 10K, replace gear oils, kung di ka naman frequent driver, every 15 or 20K siguro pwede pa rin. check brake pads,.... hmm ano pa ba? yun lang. just remember this old saying I got from a mech engineer friend of mine... nasa langis ang buhay ng diesel engine. never miss an oil change. yun lang ok ka na.
